Corporate Resource CentreThe Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) has its basic thrust on creating a very vibrant interface

of the Industry with our Students. This helps the Students to develop a true insight of the work culture and desired professional requirement of Industries and helps them to develop a vivid outlook and perspective towards Corporate Life. The Placement Process at IPEM Group aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the Students, thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. To achieve this purpose IPEM Group undertakes various Placement Activities such as Training Programmes, Guest Lectures, Industrial Visits, Pre placement Talks, Summer and Final Placements in the Campus, etc. The IPEM Group encourages interaction of the Students with the Corporate People on a regular basis & identifying their requirements in terms of skill sets. We build upon the assessment of those areas where the Students need to be trained & groomed. Initiatives by way of Skill development Workshops for the Students, Interaction with the Alumnus; Lecture series by the Experts from the Industry helps in creating awareness amongst the Students about the real Corporate World challenges The IPEM Group has a well-equipped and organized CRC which is headed by Head CRC and has representatives of the faculty from all units of IPEM Group, Placement Officers and selected Student managers/ technocrats. Placement Process at the IPEM Group:Identification of the Companies and classifying them into categories on the basis of past interaction, location and requirement of skill sets.Invitations are sent to the Companies for Placements.Companies are required to fill up and submit the Response Form attached with the Placement Brochure.A mutually agreed date is decided for Pre-placement talk and Summer Placements.Date and Slot are allotted to the Company for Lateral Final placement. Summer Internship Programme :As a compulsory part of curriculum all the Students of the Post Graduate Programmes such as PGDM, MBA and MCA are required to undergo Summer Internship/ Industrial Training with an organization for a pre determined period. For Management Students it is for 6-8 weeks after the second semester and for MCA students it is for six months in the final semester. The Internship has dual objectives viz firstly, it allows the Student to apply the concepts learnt in the Classrooms and hones their ability to define, diagnose and analyze a specific managerial or technical problem and search for its appropriate solution; Secondly, it gives the Student a glimpse into the present Corporate Environment and an appreciation of the interpersonal and influencing skills required to excel in the workplace. The organizations offering training are benefited by acquiring, for a short period, a keen mind equipped with analytical capabilities and theoretical inputs to tackle any immediate issue it may be facing. Summer Internship is an opportunity for the Students also to get a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)

from the Company by showing their hard work and skills. Pre-Placement Talks (PPT)The Pre Placement Talks provide an excellent opportunity for the Students to know the Company profile, its offers and the career growth paths available. Companies give a formal presentation which is followed by an interactive session on queries of the Students. Selection Process & Final PlacementMost of the Students get placed in the organizations through pre-placement offers. For the remaining students, Campus Interviews are organized in the months of Dec, Jan to March/April. The Selection process is decided as per the Rules & Regulations of the Institute and requirements of individual Companies. The IPEM Group considers few aspects like Growth Opportunities, Remuneration and Job Profile offered by the Company at the time of Final Placement of its Students.
