Central Argentina Outlook


Key growing areas in Cordoba, Santa Fe, Entre Rios and Buenos Aires will see some rain over the next two weeks, but the first near-term likelihood appears no sooner than 12 days out.

Next 4 days Today and over the next five days, rains fall in extreme S, W and NW Argentina while miss C and NE areas. Inland temperatures will be reaching 34-39C or 93-102F on a daily basis for the next two weeks.

During the next two weeks, ridging will lie along the Chilean Coast and eastward across Central Argentina keeping dry southerly flow over the region. Disturbed weather aligns over Brazil surrounding a cut-off circulation and trough. The next 11-12 days will be exceptionally dry across C and N Argentina, while rains encroach from the S for week #2. At that time, S and W areas see rain but will S Cordoba, SW Santa Fe and N Buenos Aires? Latest model output says maybe offering a glimpse of hope.
