ADVANTAGES OF SAS-40E
SAS-40E is NISSEKI second generation synthesized high performance capacitor fluid with unique advantages over conventional fluids. Processing is carefully designed to provide products with low molecular weight compounds, low crystallization point, narrow boiling range and be organic chloride free. Low Molecular Aromatic Compounds With the composition of low molecular weight aromatic compounds, SAS-40E has the highest characteristics of hydrogen gas absorption and partial discharge. Compared with conventional fluids, SAS-40E has a narrower boiling range and faster evaporation rate. These combined characteristics provide faster drying time of the inner wall of the vessel under vacuum. Low Viscosity Due to the low viscosity of SAS-40E, temperature of the impregnation and the degassing process can be lowered to near ambient temperatures. To avoid the increasing of pressure during the degassing, keep temperature of the oil at 15C to 40C (60F to 105 D during the impregnation and the clay treatment. F) Low Crystallization Point Low crystallization point imparts superior performance of the capacitor under a cold condition similar to -50C. Chloride Free Because the catalyst and the raw materials are chloride free, SAS-40E is chloride free. Compatibility with Conventional Fluids No problem is known to occur as to contamination of a very small quantity of the previous fluid in switching to SAS40E. Intentional mixing of SAS-40E with other fluids is discouraged due to reducing the advantages of SAS-40E as stated above.

As long as the oil does not contain dissolved oxygen and/or oxidized material, the above metals do not affect on the losses of the oil. If oxygen or oxigenated substances are contained, silver, lead and copper may cause an increase of losses. The order of the strength is: silver>lead>copper.

Practically, Viton and Silicon can be used as an elastomer. Viton is a recommendable material for o-ring type gasket and both for flat face gasket. The above are examples obtained on the materials we have had. These compatibility tests should be tested on your own materials to be used.
