Dual Adjustable Power Supply Circuit

BASIC DECRIPTION:
This is the circuit diagram of a dual adjustable power supply using ICs LM 317 and LM 337. These ICs are able to deliver maximum current of 1.5 amp at a range of 1.2V 30V. LM 337 is negative compliment of LM 317 they also have built in short circuit protection. And R1 and R4 controls the output of LM 337. Here the circuit is wired to produce dual adjustable output +12,0,-12 the capacitor from C1 to C6 provide the filtering and ripple rejection. The resistor R1 and R3 control the output of LM 317. R1 and R2 can be adjusted tovary the negative and positive voltages. Where R5 and R6 used to illuminate the indicators (leds).

Description
The LM137/LM337 are adjustable 3-terminal negative voltage regulators capable of supplying in excess of 1.5A over an output voltage range of 1.2V to 37V. These regulators are exceptionally easy to apply, requiring only 2 external resistors to set the output voltage and 1 output capacitor for frequency compensation. The circuit design has been optimized for excellent regulation and low thermal transients. Further, the LM137 series features internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe-area compensation, making them virtually blowout-proof against overloads.
