SAMCEF Mecano is a major part of the answer. Its development has always been driven by the idea to extend the boundaries of the classical non linear implicit FEA method to Multi Body Simulation. This type of solvers had in the past always been limited to structural analysis. Our 20 years of experience in that concept makes it very easy for users to accurately predict global and local phenomena, including vibrations and other dynamic effects. All this leads to a higher level of accuracy in dynamic loads assessment. It induces better fatigue prediction, as well as more classical computation of large flexible deformations. Building better models produce results that have never been closer to reality. Decrease design costs and duration, decrease potential failures and breakdowns and increase both your products reliability and your customers satisfaction thanks to our edge cutting technology. Are you looking for a software package able to include MBS features in your FEA analysis, bringing your simulation to a level you were only dreaming of ? We have made it real.

FLEXIBLE DYNAMICS
SAMCEF Mecano has the unique ability to allow using MBS features (kinematic joints like hinges, sliders, wheels...) inside real Finite Elements models. This enables you to properly model flexible dynamics phenomena. What does it mean? Using SAMCEF Mecano, you will compute more accurate dynamic loads as input for detailed structural analysis. Classical MBS tools are usually used to assess loads acting on the different parts of a mechanism (car suspension, wind turbine, robot). These parts are then modeled in a detailed way with an FEA module to compute the effects of these loads on them. Using SAMCEF Mecano, you will take the flexibility of these parts into account at the MBS level. You will then be able to include in your model local non linearities that have a major impact on the loads computation. That is the reason why SAMCEF Mecano is nowadays gaining a lot of market shares by progressively replacing classical MBS tools in various industries: Wind Turbines, Automotive This unique technology can also be used to assess and control the vibration level acting on structures. Vibrations can induce fatigue phenomena that must be avoided or at least delayed at all cost. Vibrations also can have a bad influence on machines that require a high accuracy on their positioning (satellites, antennas, some robots). Vibrations prediction cannot be accurate unless the real flexible behavior of the parts and of the transmissions between the parts is properly modeled. SAMCEF Mecano offers the ability to build your model according to your requirements. Keep it simple (rigid, super elements, basic representation of transmissions) when possible (predesign, parts of the structure on which you dont focus) and add details to increase accuracy when it is needed. Just make your model evolve along with your design process! SAMCEF Mecano also offers a classical non linear Finite Elements solver for structural analyses. It contains every feature required for that kind of computations: A large library of material laws (elastoplastic, hyperelastic, viscoelastic, viscoplastic, damage modeling laws, composite) Numerous flexible-flexible and rigid flexible contact algorithms well suited for large displacements, rotations and deformations. Various implicit time integration schemes (Newmark, HHT, Chung Hulbert) Equations solvers dedicated to large systems, including parallel processing features All these highly non linear features can be coupled with MBS features as well. Plastic deformation appearing when transmission has a problem (jammed actuators for example) can be easily and accurately modeled to insure that the part will still work after the incident (a slat mechanism blocked by the ice for example). Dont wait to take advantage of SAMTECHs 20 years of experience in this field!
