Human Immunodeficiency Virus, most commonly known as HIV, has spread rapidly throughout our archipelago. Its very alarming and dangerous, and so, we have the right to know what this virus is all about and what can we do to prevent ourselves from getting it. Our Department of Health (DOH) took a step up to make us aware of this destructive virus. They sponsored a movie entitled Si Heidi, Ivy, at si V for us to be aware of what danger this virus may bring into our lives. The movie is of great significance to me as a teenager, for it helped me realize a lot of things.

First thing is that, we should really take care of ourselves. Our physical body is the temple of God thats why we are responsible for whatever damage it would have. We shouldnt smoke, take drugs and get drunk occasionally because it may result to something we would never expect. Just like the story of Ivy, who got drunk on her graduation party, she was raped by a drug pusher without her knowing thats the main reason why she got HIV. Just because of recklessness, her life is in danger . Second thing is that, we need to be responsible enough for our own actions. We must not be selfish. Before we act, we must think of the consequences we might face. Just like Vanessa, who still involves herself in sex despite the probability that she may transfer HIV to his partner. At the latter part of the movie, Vanessa has been ganged up by men, and in my implication, those men are relatives of the past partners of Vanessa. The third thing is that, We should help each other. Virgilio Bustamante (Jake Cuenca) is a victim of the virus. Hes that kind of a victim who doesnt just sit in the corner and cry over his ill fate, rather, he conquers this challenge with all his might. He wants to have a voice. He wants to impart to the HIV victims that their life dont stop right after getting the virus, instead, its a start of a fight a fight for their life where hope is in existence. Theres something that medicines cant cure nor relievers cant erase, and that is the love and support that the HIV victims get from their families. Love can surpass anything, its priceless. Love is everywhere, and for as long as its existing, there shall also be relentless hope embracing the world. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
