The Seattle-based company, founded in 1889, also has a
manufacturing facility in Fairbanks, Alaska, where it is
often involved in corrosion control projects on the Alyeska

For example, the company completed a $16 million Pacific
Place contract in Seattle in 2002. Under construction for 18
months, the owner wanted to put a movie theater on top
of the six-story open-atrium mall. The CEO is proud to
point out, “We figured out a solution to satisfy the fire de-
partment’s stringent codes, something our competition
wasn’t able to do.”
Unique Projects
Three of Holaday-Parks’ unique projects in Washington
include 2200 in Seattle, and Advanta and Bravern in Bell-
evue. 2200 is a 261-unit condominium with an office build-
ing and a Pan Pacific Hotel, as well as retail space that
includes Whole Foods. The project was completed in 2006
after two years of construction.
“It was challenging because of its downtown location,”
Parks states. “It has everything – a wide range of building
