From the inception, JIMS has tried to provide a comprehensive learning environment through seminars, competitions, conferences etc. Our Vision To be an Institute of Academic Excellence with total commitment to quality education and research in management and information technology with a holistic concern for better life, environment and society Our Mission To serve the society and improve the quality of life by imparting high quality education in management and information technology, providing training and development services, fostering research, giving consultancy services to industry and disseminating knowledge through the publication of books, journals and magazines About Prastuti PRASTUTI is an inter college Annual Presentation Contest held by JIMS to provide a platform to inculcate a culture of research and development and inspire students to showcase their presentation skills and out of the box thinking. The winners are rewarded with exciting prizes to act as a catalyst for motivation. The Student Presentation Contest recognizes innovative and high quality electronic presentations. The Student Presentation Contest aims to promote active learning through the presentations in either of the following categories:

Presentations designed to illustrate and explain a concept, theory, or research discovery. Presentations that illustrate and explain an application of IT and/ or Management Concept.

The theme of the contest is Innovations for sustainable development in the Digital Age Entries should be developed primarily by students and designed to explain a concept, research, or application in their area of interest. The competition is open to students currently enrolled at any university/ college. The entry deadline is January 24, 2012. The first place winner will be awarded Rs 5000; second and third place winners will receive Rs 3000 and Rs 2000, respectively. Certificates for all winners will be presented. No formal paper is required and we are looking forward to presentations that offer new perspectives, visions and innovative ways of working in IT and Management sector rather than a technical presentation on a specific area of research. The presentations should however be related to the main theme of the contest. Who can participate Students from all streams like BBA/ BCA/ B.Tech/MCA/MBA/MTECH/ARTS/LAW are invited to participate. Research Scholars are not allowed to participate.

Topics For Presentation Participants can choose any topic related to the main theme of the contest Innovations for sustainable development in the Digital Age Rules and Regulations 1. 2. The contest is open to students of all universities and colleges. The abstract in not more than 250 words along with the name, phone, email and college address of the participant must be sent to: prastuti@jimsindia.org A distinguished in house panel from JIMS will select the best 15 entries on the basis of the abstract. The abstract should therefore clearly indicate the idea/ concept to be presented by the participant. Selected participants have to submit a bonafide student certificate from HOD of the college/ institute and will be called to make a presentation at PRASTUTI 2012 to be held at JIMS, ROHINI CAMPUS on 18 th February 2012. Decision of the judges will be final and binding for all the teams. The presentation must be made in Microsoft Power Point. Time allotted for presentation is 20 minutes and maximum team size is two people per team. Individual participation is allowed.
