You are kindly requested to respect the rules and regulations mentioned below. If you choose not to do so, you could be denied access to the Media Centre.

You are kindly requested to respect the rules and regulations mentioned below. If you choose not to do so, you could be denied access to the Media Centre.

Opening hours: Monday Thursday: 8.45 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday: 8.45 a.m.-5 p.m. In case of changes to opening times, make sure to check at: www.hum.uva.nl/mediatheek

Access: only students and employees of the UvA in possession of a valid UvAnetID are allowed access to the Media Centre. Course materials: it is not allowed to use our course materials outside of the Media Centre. In exchange for your student-card you will receive dictionaries, headphones, books, CDs and DVDs at the front desk. Upon returning these you will receive your student-card in return. Duplication and/or making copies is strictly forbidden!

User account: is personal and may not be made available to others under any circumstance. Should you require a new password, show a valid identification document at the desk. Log off when finished working.

Using the computers: viewing or distributing material that is offensive, slanderous or libellous to persons or groups is prohibited. Reservations: you can be asked to make room for others. Students of the Faculty of Humanities have a priority over others. Talking aloud: is allowed when part of a speaking exercise. Phones: the use of a mobile phone is prohibited Smoking, eating and drinking: all three are prohibited. Quiet working environment: you are not allowed to disturb others. Damages to hardware and software: please report these at the desk. Proper conduct: handle the hardware, software and furniture with care. Personal belongings: the Media Centre cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings. Store them in the lockers down the hall.
