For Immediate Release: Mooney for Congress Exploratory Committee Announces County Coordinators Republican Candidate for Marylands

6th Congressional Alex Mooney today announced the County coordinators in Garrett, Allegany, Washington, Frederick and Montgomery Counties for his exploratory campaign for Congress. I am excited to announce my county chairman for the five counties making up the 6 congressional district. These dedicated activists will organize our grassroots campaign taking my message of lower taxes and traditional values directly to the voters, said Mooney.

Small businessman Mac Raymond will lead the Garrett County effort. Mr. Raymond owns and operates Deep Creek Handyman Service, LLC and Chanticlaire Farm Catering. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Local Attorney Jason Buckel will lead the Allegany County Campaign. Mr. Buckel is a partner at the law firm Buckel, Levassuer and Pillai and is an active member of the Allegany County Republican Central Committee since 2006. Delegate Neil Parrott of Hagerstown will lead the Washington County campaign. In addition to being a recently elected member of the Maryland House of Delegates, Parrott is a grassroots leader who recently led the first successful effort in twenty years to use the petition to referendum provision in the Maryland Constitution to stop the in state tuition bill for illegal immigrants from taking effect. Delegate Parrot said: Alex Mooney represents the best chance we have to keep District 6 in Republican hands. He has my full support. Delegate Michael Hough will lead the Frederick County campaign from Brunswick. Alex Mooney is a man of honor and integrity who can be counted on to fight against the out-of-control spending in Washington. said Delegate Hough. The Frederick County effort will be co-chaired by long time Republican activist Mary Rolle. Co-Chairmen Sastry Dhara and Martha Schaerr will lead the Montgomery County campaign. Mr. Dhara is a businessman and chairman of the Maryland GOP Asian American Coalition. Mrs. Schaerr received an impressive 41% of the vote in her race for the Montgomery Country Board of Education. While it is a non-partisan election, her percentage was higher than any other Republican running in that county. Both Mr. Dhara and Mrs. Schaerr are members of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee.

Each of these leaders brings diverse and unique perspectives to my campaign. It is an honor to have them on my team and I look forward to defending our republican values with their help, Mooney said.
