The Messenger

Monthly Update March 2011 I am very excited to be a part of such a unique team. Intro seeks to equip individuals in their calling for the purpose of knowing God, His plan, and how to build the house of Lord on earth as in the days of David and as it is in heaven. These messengers will either be sent out to build the House of the Lord in various cities, states, and nations, or to serve as a missionary on this base. themselves standing in a room with an actor posing as Jesus Christ, beaten, battered, and broken on the cross for the atonement of their sins. They stand in front of him as he gazes into their eyes and a pastor presents the gospel to them. For some, they are receiving the good news that God sent His beloved Son just for them so that they could be forgiven and given eternal life with Him. I have worked this event by serving as a behind the scenes intercessor for the souls of those walking through. At the end I have had the honor of presenting the good news with individuals and seeing the Lord transform lives! In one instance, I interviewed a girl who had known Jesus Christ, but still felt unsure about her identity as His daughter. For 30 minutes, I shared truth and prophetic pictures about how the Lord felt towards her and helped point her into the loving embrace of her heavenly Father. As we prayed together, her eyes filled with tears and her countenance began to change right before my eyes! I watched as the Lord delivered her from shame, rejection, and woundedness.

Full-Time Missionary!
GREETINGS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, PARTNERS! Well, I am excited to inform you that as of this week, I will be embarking on a new chapter in my life as a full-time missionary, ministering to the Lord from the place of prayer and equipping the body as messengers to touch the nations for the Kingdom of God! What will this look like, you might be asking? I have been offered a staff position on base here at IHOP-KC to work with the internship (INTRO to IHOP) that I myself graduated from in December 2010. I am excited to share a couple of exciting moments that occurred this past month. For that past three weekends and the next two, IHOP as hosted an event called FINAL EXIT! That same night, I was brought into the Baptism of the Holy Spirit room to accompany a lady desiring to be filled with the Holy Spirit. (There are three rooms that individuals can enter into after having walked through the event: Evangelism room, Baptism of the Holy Spirit room, and deliverance room). I entered this room and prayed with a lady to receive her heavenly language (or prayer tongues). The Holy Spirit was ever so present and came in and filled this lady! We listened as she exercised her gift of tongues for the first time! She left so filled and encouraged by the Lord! This was the first time I had witnessed this taking place in an individual and now I am excited to see it more often! Praise the Lord! Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father! -James 1:17 The Lord, gives us clear instruction in the gospel of John chapter 14, to believe that He sent us His Holy Spirit to counsel, guide, and strengthen us as the body of Christ. The Apostle Paul also shares with us in 1 Corinthians 14, and Romans 8, the need and purpose of being filled by the Holy Spirit. When we commune with the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, we learn how to partner with the Father and the Son. Our spirit man is also encouraged when we do this! As believers in Christ most of us have been baptized in water, symbolizing our sins that have been cleansed. When we ask to be filled by the Holy Spirit, we are asking for an immersion in the Spirit, which is the actual cleansing and empowerment! (Luke 3:15-18; Acts 1:4,5,8). Thank you, Lord, for giving us Your Spirit!
