Teaching and Position Responsibilities


o o Initial layout, set up and continued maintenance of the new Ceramics and 3-D Design studios. 18 academic contact hours per week for fall 2008, 12 for Spring 2009 and 21 for Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 as directed by my Dean. Classes have included Ceramics I, Ceramics II, 3- Dimensional Design, and Intro to Art. Initiated the curriculum for the new Ceramics I & II and the 3- Dimensional Design classes including the development of course syllabi, assignments, class outlines, objectives, and pedagogy. Expanded the course offering to include both day and night ceramics to improve enrollment opportunities for students. Co-Chaired the Committee responsible for writing the curricula for the new Associate of Fine Art which is now offered across the State of Kentucky. Also wrote curriculum for eight new art classes. Work with a locally own art supply store to ensure their inventory will fulfill the course materials lists and better serve the students needs.
