VaYechi 2012
This weeks portion is the last parshah of Bereshith/Genesis, the Book of Beginnings! VaYechi, And He Lived covers Genesis 47:28-50:26. And its within these verses that we see the death of 2 prominent individuals and the stage set for the slavery of the house and eventual exodus. Jacob and Josephs deaths are both covered, and the way they get their affairs in order and their burial preparations. There are so many things that take place within this portion that become a shadow picture of the end days, and how a house that has been in Egypt would be redeemed and restored. And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you [that] which shall befall you in the last days. Genesis 49:1 Genesis 47:28 Vayechi/Lived: Strongs #2421 chayah to live, have life, sustain life, to live forever, be quickened, be alive, or to be restored to life or health *Its in the physical death of Jacob that we are given an understanding of how Jacob and his entire house could be quickened/have life/be restored to life and health even though weve been in bondage and slavery! The restoration is seen in the numbers! Jacob is 147 years old. 147 =the gematria of the word nitsbah firmness; from #5324 natsab to stand, or to be set, used in Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up/natsab on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of Yah ascending and descending on it. There is also another connection to the ladder as well in these numbers: 147 (years of Jacobs life) 17 (his years in Egypt) = 130, the value of cullam ladder! *Cognate of cillem ( Kleins Dictionary) to modulate/escalate music. Modulating music deals with changing from one key to another, in the Hebrew language every letter also has a musical note. Notice how the number 147 is composed of the same numbers as 2 notes/frequencies upon the solfeggio scale 417 Hz note Re & 741 Hz note Sol, Re = undoing situations and facilitating change & Sol = solve polluti/solve the problem; causes us to ask undo what and solve what problem? Gematria of Vayechi = 34, same as Babel #894) )confusion by mixing, was here that the language was confounded. 34 is also the gematria of goel/gaal (#1350) to redeem, to act as a kinsman redeemer, to ransom The way Jacob and his house will be restored to life has everything to do with 1

the ladder! John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of Yah ascending and descending upon the Son of man. Jacob knew the promise of the Messiah who would come as the goel, the redeemer in order to restore the houses understanding of the Word/Torah/language that was confounded at Babel this being the problem that needed to be solved and the situation that would be undone! Matthew 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this [man] this wisdom, and [these] mighty works? *This was Jacobs role/purpose to restore this understanding of the Torah/language to the house. Remember that Isaac had become blind and the wells stopped up (Genesis 26-27). And this was part of preparing the way for the Messiah to come, who would be the ladder/Word made flesh. Jacob was preparing the house so that they would be able to see the ladder as well Messiah! Genesis 48:10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, [so that] he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them. Sounds so similar to Isaacs situation as he prepared to bless his sons (Genesis 27:1). But yet there is a difference in the Hebrew language! *Dim for Isaac is kahah (#3543) weak, dim, darkened, restrained, and faint. For Jacob, dim: Strongs #3513 kabad to be heavy, weighty, honorable, glorious; gematria = 26, the same value as YHVH! Unlike Isaac, where the light had been darkened and grown faint, Jacob has the Glory of YHVH resting upon him and his actions are guided by the hand of Yahweh! Now as Jacob prepares to die, who does he pass on this obligation to? Genesis 47:29 It is passed onto Joseph! Hes passing on the ability to see the glory/ladder/Messiah to Joseph John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth. What is taking place in this verse is what is referred to as a yarek oath Joseph places his hand under the thigh of Jacob. When one placed their hand under the thigh/loins it was symbolic of authority and seed being passed on in this covenant. Jacob is passing on the seed of YHVH what he received when he was shown the ladder and the authority/responsibility that comes with it, charging Joseph to restore Torah to the house! Deal: Strongs #6213 asah to do, fashion, accomplish, make; also has the idea of to repair; = to see, perceive, understand & = Lamb Repair the ability to see, perceive, and understand the lamb! *The yarek oath deals with the loins, just as circumcision does! The circumcision of our flesh/heart goes hand in hand with the circumcision

of our mouth/tongue. The word (#4448) malal to speak, utter, or to say shares the same 2 letter root as muwl (#4135) to circumcise, to cut off. The Sages teach that the tongue may be loosened to speak of that which is above (YHVH) by the act of circumcision! In some of the Rabbinical writings the circumcision of the tongue is explained as referring to the ability to utilize the mysteries of the Hebrew language, therefore to probe the mysteries of the Torah! This is alluded to during the encounter Joseph has with Jacob! Genesis 48:21-22 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but Yahweh shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow. Portion: Strongs #7926 skekem shoulder, back Spelled with the same letters as #4901 meshek a drawing up, the drawing out of seed, a container/pouch for seed, a trail of seeds or path left from sowing seeds. *Joseph and his descendants would have the responsibility to plant the seed of the Torah! The physical location of Shekem sits between Mt. Ebal & Mt. Gerizim (the mountains of blessing and curses) the responsibility of the Torah would rest upon the shoulders of Joseph. The way that Joseph is equipped for this takes place when Jacob enters the yarek oath with him. The same thing is promised to happen again, in Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Yahweh, to serve him with one consent/shekem. As Joseph is restored to the pure language (Hebrew) he is equipped to again properly plant the seed of Torah. Just as this prepared the way for the Messiahs first coming as the lamb, so the restoration of the Torah now prepares the house for the Messiahs return! Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Psalm 126
This same thought is seen in Psalm 126! Psalm 126:1-6 *Notice that there are 6 verses, just as there are 6 notes on the ancient Solfeggio scale Verse 1: 9 words, 38 letters, gematria = 2,895 Verse 2: 14 words, 55 letters, gematria = 2,708 Verse 3: 6 words, 28 letters, gematria = 1, 529 Verse 4: 6 words, 27 letters, gematria = 1, 822 Verse 5: 4 words, 20 letters, gematria = 1,116 Verse 6: 11 words, 40 letters, gematria = 2,264

Complete value of Psalm 126: 50 words, 208 letters, gematria = 12,329 50 words & 208 letters 5, 2, & 8 = 528, the frequency of the note Mi, the note that repairs DNA and is associated with miracles! 12,329 1+ 2 +3 +2 + 9 = 17, the years of Jacobs life in Egypt, the age Joseph is when taken to Egypt; this psalm is about repairing the DNA of the house as it is taken out of bondage from Egypt! 17th letter of the alephbet = mouth, speech, language (the repairing of the DNA and restoration to health and life, goes hand in hand with the repairing of the mouth/language). also has a value of 80 = the age of Mosheh when he arrives in Egypt as the deliverer! And it was on the 80th jubilee cycle that Yahshua came as the deliverer! *In this Torah portion, there is a hidden reference to this among the blessings of the tribes! Genesis 49:10 (concerning Judah) The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people [be] Shiloh: Strongs #7886 Shiyloh he whose it is, that which belongs to him, tranquility; from #7951 shalah to be at rest, prosper, be quiet, be at ease Gematria = 345, same as Mosheh the one from whom living water is drawn! Gathering: Strongs #3349 yiqqahah obedience, cleansing, purging Gematria = 120, Genesis 6:3 And Yahweh said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Man would be allotted 120 Jubilee years Once again, this is a reference to the 2 deliverers! Mosheh who would deliver the children of Israel from Egypt in a foreshadowing of the Messiah who would return after mans allotted time of 120 Jubilee years to cleanse and purge! Jacob and Joseph prepared the house for the coming of Mosheh, and today it is up to Josephs descendants to prepare the way for Messiah! Back to Psalm 126 A Song of Ascent/Song of Degrees, 1 of the 15 (Psalm 120-134) that were sung as the 15 steps were climbed leading into the Temple. Verse 4 Streams: Strongs #650 aphiyq channel, ravine, hollow bones South: Strongs #5045 negeb south country, Nekeb, south; from an unused root meaning to be parched

*Could this be a reference to the dry/parched bones of Ezekiel 37!? Verse 6 Precious: Strongs #4901 meshek drawing up, a pouch for seed; same letters as Shekem Sheaves: Strongs #485 alummah sheaf, as something bound; from #481 alam to bind (the tongue), to be dumb or silent; only used here and in Genesis 37:7 concerning Josephs dreams *Gematria = 76, same as muwl (#4135) to circumcise, let oneself be circumcised; the dry bones once again become a container for the seed of Yahweh as their tongue which had been bound and silent is loosed when they allow themselves to be circumcised by the Torah! Songs of Ascent Shir Hamaaloth Gematria = 1,061 same value as Genesis 2:7 And breathed into his nostrils the breath of life! - Vayipach beapav nishmat chayyim The singing of the Torah (the psalms of ascent leading you into the presence of Yahweh) is the prescribed manner for the tongue to be loosed and the breath of life to be breathed into the dry bones and it the restoration of life to these bones that prepares the way for the deliverer! Genesis 50:25-26 Carry up: Strongs #5927 alah to go up, ascend, climb; its the root of maalah degrees/ascent, what comes up, step, stairs (Psalms 120134) *The bones of Joseph are carried out under Mosheh (the deliverer/shadow picture of Messiah) along with the rest of the house, and brought into the wilderness (#4057) midbar the mouth where the word/dabar speaks! Its the 2 sticks being made one in the hand, the dry bones being joined and breathed into! And remember there is an intricate connection in this to the ladder which comes from the root Strongs #5549 calal to lift up, cast up, exalt, as in to lift up a song (the Songs of Ascent!) or to lift up/build a highway! Isaiah 62:10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up (calal), cast up (calal) the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. Highway: Strongs #4546 mecillah highway, raised way, public road; same letters spell hacullam the ladder! *The way you prepare the way is by lifting up the ladder! Just like Jacob and Joseph the restoration of the understanding of Torah and the Hebrew language repairs the DNA of the house and makes us ready! It prepares the

way of the Messiah, a voice crying in the wilderness!
