The Amazon Rainforest (in Portuguese, Floresta Amaznica or Amaznia; Spanish Selva Amaznica, Amazona or usually Amazonia), also

known in English as Amazonia or theAmazon Jungle, is a moist broadleaf forest that covers most of the Amazon Basin of South America. This basin encompasses seven million square kilometers (1.7 billion acres), of which five and a half million square kilometers (1.4 billion acres) are covered by the rainforest. This region includes territory belonging to nine nations. The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, with 60% of the rainforest, followed by Peru with 13%, and with minor amounts in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and France (French Guiana). States or departments in four nations bear the name Amazonas after it. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests, and it comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rainforest in the world. The Amazon rainforest was short-listed in 2008 as a candidate to be one of theNew7Wonders of Nature by the New Seven Wonders of the World Foundation. As of February 2009 the Amazon was ranking first in Group E, the category for forests, national parks and nature reserves. Ha Long Bay (Vietnamese: Vnh H Long, listen, literally: "descending dragon bay"; ,Hn t:) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, located inQuang Ninh province, Vietnam. Administratively, the bay belongs to H Long City, Cm Phtown, and part of Van Don district. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes. Ha Long Bay is a center of a larger zone which includes Bi T Long bay to the northeast, and Ct B islands to the southwest. These larger zones share similargeological, geographical, geomorphological, climate, and cultural characters. Ha Long Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,9602,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The core of the bay has an area of 334 km2 with a high density of 775 islets.[1] The limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years of formation in different conditions and environments. The evolution of the karst in this bay has taken 20 million years under the impact of the tropical wet climate.[2] The geo-diversity of the environment in the area has created biodiversity, including a tropical evergreen biosystem, oceanic and sea shore biosystem.[3] Ha Long Bay is home to 14 endemic floral species[4] and 60 endemic faunal species.
Iguazu Falls, Iguassu Falls, or Iguau Falls (Portuguese: Cataratas do Iguau [kata atz du iwasu]; Spanish: Cataratas del Iguaz [kataataz el iwa su]; Guarani: Chororo Yguasu[ooo asu]) are waterfalls of the Iguazu River located on the border of the Brazilian State ofParan and the Argentine Province of Misiones. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. The Iguazu River originates near the city of Curitiba. It flows through Brazil for most of its course. Below its confluence with the San Antonio River, the Iguazu River forms the boundary between Brazil and Argentina.

The name "Iguazu" comes from the Guarani or Tupi words y [], meaning "water", and as [wasu], meaning "big".[2] Legend has it that a god planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naip, who fled with her mortal lover Tarob in a canoe. In rage the god sliced the river, creating the waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall.[2] The first European to find the falls was the Spanish Conquistador lvar Nez Cabeza de Vaca in 1541.
Jeju Island (Cheju) is in the South Korea Strait, between the southern most tip of

South Korea and Japan. 73 kilometres wide and 31 kilometres north to south......... it is a small easily traversed island. With a warmer climate than the mainland, the Island enjoys stunning scenery.... the Koreans proudly call this World Heritage Site the "Hawaii of Korea". Nicknamed "Honeymoon Island".... Jeju Island is a very popular Korean honeymoon destination. While I am not sure I would equate it with Hawaii, it is certainly a very beautiful island with glorious beaches, mountains...Mt Halla being the centrepiece, lava tubes, citrus orchards, fascinating cultural features and a plethora of theme parks and attractions. Jeju City being higher, is colder than the coastal area where we were heading. Seogwipo on the southern coast was our destinationI will not be giving any information on Jeju City as the tourist area is around Seogwipo.

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (PPSRNP) is one of the most important

biodiversity conservation areas of the Philippines. It features a spectacular limestone or karst landscape that contains an 8.2 km long underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it flows directly into the sea, and the lower half portion of the river is brackish and subject to tidal influence. The area also represents significant habitat for biodiversity conservation. It contains a full mountain to the sea ecosystem and protects forests, which are among the most significant in Asia. The PPPSRNP is designated a core area for the Palawan Biosphere Reserve under the Man and Biosphere Program. In recognition of its globally significant natural properties, it was inscribed to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations of (UNESCO) List of Natural World Heritage Sites. Inscription to the list confirms the exceptional and universal value of the Site that deserves to be protected for the benefit of all humanity. The PPSRNP is managed by the City Government of Puerto Princesa based on a program centered on environmental conservation and sustainable development. It has the distinction of being the first national park devolved and successfully managed by a Local Government Unit. It has been cited as an example of best practices for biodiversity conservation and sustainable tourism in the Philippines. The Puerto Princesa Underground River is reputed to be the longest navigable underground river in the World. It is one of the few such rivers which the public can easily experience and appreciate. It is the official entry of the Philippines and is 1 of the 28 finalists to the Search for the New 7 Wonders of Nature. It is a source of pride and a key element in the identity of the people of Puerto Princesa in particular, and of the Philippines as a whole Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa, and is featured in the flag of Cape Town and other local government insignia.[2] It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top.
