Speakers: How do they work?

The speaker is a marvelous instrument that takes frequencies created by digital signals and allows us to hear those frequencies in the order that the digital device creates them. These frequencies are called sound waves. The sound waves we hear are produced by the magnet and the electromagnet in the speaker. These are just simple vibrations within the speaker but the human mind deciphers these vibrations into frequencies that we can interpret. Yin Yue is not just a speaker, its an experience. listen to those beats. This speaker is fantastic from top to bottom and its made just like every other speaker. Speakers can be made in all different shapes and sizes. Some shapes can be better than others in the way they project sound. A cone is the standard shape that most speakers have for their diaphragm. In the case of Yin Yue, the cone is the box itself. The bottom of the box is narrow and the top of the box is wide, acting as a cone. At the opening there is a circular piece of paper, that is the diaphragm. In many cases, the diaphragm will be paper or an extremely thin and flexible piece of plastic. All speakers are made with a fixed set of components that are necessary. These components are: a permanent magnet, a voice coil, a diaphragm, a frame or base, a signal source (iPod), and a power source of some kind. All of these components interact with each other to create a sound wave that we can hear. The permanent magnet works with the voice coil to create the frequencies that we can hear. Without these two components, speakers would make absolutely no sound at all. The voice coil is connected to the signal source, which is connected to the power source. The power source allows the user to control the volume with less difficulty. The frame or the base is how everything stays in place. It also allows the diaphragm to resonate and create a clear sound.
