It allows you to define and execute programs which use database points as variables. Command Sequence programs can be used for calculations, one-shot control or switching sequences and for closed-loop control.

Control Panel:
Control Panel is a rapid GUI development tool built into WorldView. It allows users to populate a drawing with all (or just some) of an IED's points in just a few keystrokes. It is based on a library of control panel templates designed for the most common IEDs available on the market. For each IED in the station, you simply select the template and specify the name of the IED. The WorldView editor takes care of instantiating all of the indications and controls.

Database Transcription:
Database Transcription is an application that provides bi-directional transcribing of SCADA data into relational databases. Target databases that are supported are Microsoft Access, SQL Server and Oracle. The types of data that can be transcribed include: current values, historical data, operation messages (including alarms), and event logs (including SOE). Database Transcription can be used to interface with other systems such as AMR, OMS, and GIS, or simply used to archive historical information.

Event Data Recording:

Event Data Recording records all status changes, operator controls and Sequence of Events (SOE) data. Non-SOE events are time-stamped to the nearest second. SOE events are time-stamped to the nearest 1 millisecond (subject to the capabilities of the RTU).

External Alarm Bell:

For operations under noisy conditions (i.e. Generation Stations), External Alarm Bell can control (activate/de-activate) several different external alarm bells based on alarm priorities for any of the different alarm zone groups. Requires local RTU.

External Clock Interface (GPS):

External Clock Interface synchronizes the computer time to that of the external (GPS) clock every minute. An alarm is raised if the SCADA system cannot read the clock.

IEC 61131-3 Programmability:

IEC 61131-3 Programmability includes all five PLC programming environments (Sequential Function Chart, Instruction List, Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram and Structured Text).

IED Wizard:
IED Wizard is a tool that automates the creation of the database points for supported IEDs. The database points are created for the SCADA system, and the mapping can be automatically downloaded to the Scout Station Controller.

ICCP Master to Master Protocol:

Inter Control Center Communication Protocol (ICCP) is the industry standard for Master to Master communications. ICCP application consists of both client and server software. The client software connects to other members on the network to request point data and forward control requests from operators and application programs. The server software responds to client requests by returning the requested data and executing the requested controls. Quality codes, such as manual set and telemetry failed, are transmitted along with the data. In device control operations, tags on the server system are respected.

Load Management:
Load Management is an application that allows data exchange between Survalent SCADA and the Comverge Load Management System (LMS or LMS Lite). Both status and telemetry (analog) data can be sent from SCADA database points into data fields within the LMS, and LMS data can be retrieved and stored into SCADA points. The Comverge LMS system runs on a Microsoft Windows platform, a separate computer from the SCADA hosts.

Map Board Driver:

Map Board Driver supports the CIS protocol (serial or TCP/IP) and is used to assign database points to map board lamp and indicator addresses. The driver specifies how the lamps and indicators are to operate based on the database point values.

Master/Slave Alarm Suppression:

Master/Slave Alarm Suppression allows a defined hierarchy of primary/secondary (master/slave) alarm point relationships. These relationships may be used for either alarm suppression or group acknowledgement, or both.

NDA API:
Network Database Access (NDA) is a client/server protocol that was developed by Survalent. The NDA API (application programming interface) is a library of functions that allow PC application programs to access the SCADA system using the NDA protocol. This API is provided in the form of a DLL (dynamically linked library) that is installed on the PC, and underlying network protocol used is TCP/IP. Includes interface to OSI PI Historian.

OPC Client:
OPC Client (OLE for Process Control) is an open standard built using Microsoft's OLE technology. The Client allows the SCADA system to collect data from any OPC compatible Server, typically a field device. The OPC Client is compliant with OPC DA.

OPC Server:
OPC Server (OLE for Process Control) is an open standard built using Microsoft's OLE technology. The Server provides any OPC compatible Client access to the SCADA system database. The OPC Server is compliant with OPC DA.

Operations and Outages Accounting:

Operations and Outage Accounting application is based on the Event Data Recording facility. The event data recording facility records all status changes and control operations in an event data file capable of storing events for up to 30 days. Every night at midnight, an accounting program scans the previous days event data to generate that days accounting information. Requires Event Data Recording.

Operator Training Simulator:

Operator Training Simulator (OTS) consists of a second independent copy of the SCADA system operating with simulation programs instead of scan tasks. The OTS system provides facilities that allow the instructor to maintain many different copies of the database and to select any of these to use for a training session. The simulation process itself is a scripting facility that allows the instructor to generate sequences of events that students can react to.

Power Factor Control:

The power factor control application maintains the power factor at each load area within specified limits by switching capacitor banks into or out of service. The program optimizes the selection of capacitor banks by working to correct the power factor at individual feeders, starting with the feeder that has the worst power factor.

Remote Alarm Annunciation:

Remote Alarm Annunciation application creates alarm messages for e-mail or pager systems. The user can define which points are annunciated, and for each point, which alarm states are annunciated.

SCADA Add-in:
SCADA Add-in application allows the user to export current and historical data from the SCADA system into MS Excel or MS Access. All point data fields (not just values) are available to export. The menu commands are available from the native application within Excel or Access. Connecting to the SCADA/HMI system requires entering a user name and password, so only authorized users gain access to this information. SCADA Add-in is compatible with: MS Windows 98, 2000, and XP.

Short-Term Load Forecasting:

Short Term Load Forecasting application is based on matching historical load and weather data. The historical data set consists of hourly samples of load, dry bulb temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and cloud cover. A weather forecast editor allows you to enter hourly weather forecasts for up to 24 hours and daily forecasts for up to a month. The application generates a 24-hour and 7-day forecast.

SNMP Scan Task:

SNMP Scan Task is an application to communicate with one or more devices using the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). It is used to communicate with network devices such as radios, bridges, routers, switches, etc, for operation and maintenance data.

Switch Order Preparation:

Switch Order Preparation application allows the creating and execution of switch orders, as well the issuing and surrendering of clearances. The application allows the complete management of order processing, including the printing of the order for field crews. It includes grounding, tagging, and out-of-step execution.

System Configuration Status:

System Configuration Status (SCS) application is a topology processor that calculates the energized/de-energized status of electric, gas and water line sections, and displays them on world maps. The calculation is based on the topology of the distribution system and the current status of breakers and valves. For an electrical line section, the system supports 3-phase distribution, and computes the status of each phase independently, such that line sections that are downstream of non-ganged switching devices may contain a mix of energized and de-energized phases. The user can specify colors for partially energized or partially looped etc. SCS includes a feeder trace function that allows the user to select a trace color and have the extent of a feeder highlighted in the selected trace color. Multiple simultaneous traces in different colors are supported.

Video Surveillance:
Video Surveillance provides video-based motion detection as part of the SCADA/HMI system. With this system it is possible to bring back live and recorded surveillance video to any local or remote workstation via WorldView.

Virtual RTU:
Virtual RTU application allows for quick and easy setup of a virtual device that can be polled by another master station via DNP3 protocol. Points are easily added to the Virtual RTU with the Drag-n-Drop Point Browser. Complete Datasets can be created and assigned to multiple Virtual RTUs. This means that the same data can easily be sent to more than one client system without having to maintain duplicate dataset definitions for each Virtual RTU.
