REMA Members Certificated Road Studs

Listed below are details of permanent retroreflective road studs supplied by REMA Members that have been tested and certificated to the relevant British/European Standards. Specifically:BS EN 1463-1:1998 BS EN1463-2: 2000 Road Marking Materials-Retroreflecting Road Studs Part 1 : Initial performance requirements. Road Marking Materials-Retroreflecting Road Studs Part 2 : Road Test performance specifications.

All these products also conform to the requirements for Road Studs detailed in the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2002* which is a legal requirement for road studs to be used on the public highway in the United Kingdom. All these certificated products must be installed according to the manufacturers instructions.

Please note that road studs incorporating both reflectors or retroreflecting material and a steady or intermittent light source are subject to special Type Approval by the Secretary of State. A separate list of these studs that have Type Approval from the Department for Transport and are supplied by REMA Members can be found at the bottom of this page.
