Paramount Parks Inc. - Charlotte, NC CFO - Senior Vice President Finance and Information Systems 2002 - 2006 In January of 2006, CBS's Board of Directors elected to sell Paramount Parks in auction. The sale was successfully completed to Cedar Fair, LLP for $1.243 bill ion in cash on June 30, 2006. Prior to June 30, 2006, Paramount Parks was a divi sion of CBS, Inc. and owned and operated 5 of the top regional theme parks in th e US and Canada, an attraction in Las Vegas, and a park in California. Total at tendance of the parks and attractions exceeded 12 million a year with over $450 million in revenues. Full responsibility for the entire financial aspects of the company and its park s. This responsibility included p&l, balance sheet, and cash flow management, b udgeting, internal controls, financial reporting and analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley co mpliance, SEC reporting, annual capital project planning, long-range financial a nd strategic planning, information systems, and human resources. Key Achievements: * Key member of management team responsible for coordinating the sale of Paramou nt Parks for CBS to Cedar Fair, LLP for $1.243 billion, the highest EBITDA multi ple in recent amusement park sale transactions. Responsibilities included coord inating all financial aspects of the sale process and due diligence with CBS, Ci tigroup (broker), and the bidders, which included six large private equity firms and one strategic bidder. * Developed and implemented key business strategies that resulted in Paramount P arks achieving record levels of performance in Revenue and EBITDA in 2005. * Improved levels of communication and credibility with our reporting relationsh ips at Paramount Studio in California, and Viacom, Nickelodeon, and CBS in New Y ork. * Developed weekly management reporting that enabled key executives at the parks and at corporate to identify trends and opportunities to improve financial perf ormance of the company. * Drove the design and implementation of new ticketing and access control system s that further enhanced controls and real time park performance reporting. Paramount's Kings Island - Cincinnati, OH Vice President - Finance and Administration 1999 - 2001 Reported to the EVP - General Manager of one of the largest regional theme parks in the world with over 3 million in attendance and $100 million in revenues. Responsibilities included financial reporting, budgeting, monthy and quarterly e stimates, forecasting and modeling of attendance and revenues, expense controls, capital project management, and information systems. Worked closely with other key executives of the park and Paramount Parks Corporate in developing key busi ness strategies. Key Achievements: * Developed a weekly forecasting model to more accurately predict trends in atte ndance, per capita spending and overall profitability of the park. * Partnered with key management of the park to successfully open the first Hallo ween event for Paramount's Kings Island. * Worked closely with the Resale operations group to improve their profitability and overall business acumen. * Managed the financial aspects of the single largest capital investment in the history of the park ($25 million coaster). Express, Inc. (division of Limited Brands) - Columbus, OH Director of Store Support and Finance 1995 - 1999 Reported to the Chief Financial Officer and the EVP - National Sales Manager of a 700+ specialty store retail chain with over $1 billion in sales. Responsibilities included Store Control, Sales Audit, Inventory Control, Payroll , and Store Communications. Focused on improving the productivity and performan ce of accounting operation areas and on strategic planning of the business in th e areas of real estate, sales planning, expense controls, and store productivity .
