Interests:
Music, Art, Photography, Camping, Trekking and Travelling. Photography has been a great passion of mine since I was 13 and I got an A* in my photography A Level. I also had the amazing opportunity to to practice my photography when I spent a gap year backpacking across South America, India, Africa and China trekking the entire Inca Trail spending a week riding the entire Trans Siberian Express. Music has been a huge part of my life since I was very young. At the age of 17 I founded Rock It Out! music blog that went on to have over 100 thousand followers on twitter and over 150 thousand subscribers on Youtube.

I recently saw the advertisement for the position of Writer and Online Editor in the back of this weeks Rolling Stone Magazine. To work at Rolling Stone has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and your magazine is the first thing that inspired me to become a rock journalist. I have had a passion for music from a very young age and it has always been my main outlet. At the age of 17 I founded my first online blog dedicated to rock and other genres of music. The blog went on to be very successful with over 300 thousand followers from various sites. This shows that at a young age, with lots of other pressures such as school work and exams I was still able to start and run my own site proving that I can work under pressure, against deadlines and still be successful. At 18 I began to earn a profit from the site and at 19 I paid for my own gap year and had the amazing opportunity to backpack through South America, India, Africa and China. Durring this I also ran a successful travel blog showcasing my photography and writing skills. I graduated New York University with a BA in Magazine Journalism having interned at Revolver Magazine and been a major component in the daily school news paper, The Washington Square, having run the magazine online. Both of these experiences help teach me how to work well with others and they gave me a feel for working in a journalism based environment. In the last 5 years I have written for a number of American and British based music magazine and interviewed bands from all over the world. I held permanent positions with Rock Sound Magazine, Q! Magazine and Kerrang! Magazine and wrote Freelance articles for many others.
