Start-up of 9 grassroots units * September 1980 - Start-up Operator on the first SRU in the refinery - 100 LT/D Sulfur Recovery Unit I - Clause/Beavon/Stretford unit. * November 1981 - Start-up Operator on a 26 KB/D DEA Regenerator. * June 1988 - Start-up Supervisor/Operator at the Mobil Corporation, Torrance, C A Refinery on (2) 200 LT/D Sulfur Recovery Units. * June 1988 - Start-up Supervisor/Operator at the Mobil Corporation Torrance, CA Refinery on a 20 KB/D Sour Water Stripper. * March 1992 - Dec 1992 - Field Start-up Coordinator for the Beaumont Expansion Project Sulfur Complex. Overseer for all aspects for start-up of grassroots uni ts - (2) 295 LT/D Sulfur Recovery Units, a 26 KB/D DEA Regenerator and a 29 KB/D Sour Water Stripper. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, supervisin g 12 operators, 4 supervisors and coordinating 300 contractors' activities. Als o coordinated commissioning utilities, vessel chemical cleaning, vessel inspecti ons, preparations for catalyst loading, catalyst loading, steam blows, instrumen t loop check, hydrotesting, etc. Supervision * January 19, 1988 - Promoted to a management position for the largest Mobil Cor poration Distributed Control System (DCS) using Honeywell 3000. Additional Supervisory assignments * '89 - One of four members of a Programs Audit Team. Reduced the number of pro grams in the refinery from 140 to 80. * '89 - Assigned to generate site specific questions for operator training and t esting - generated ~ 250 questions for 1 Sulfur Recovery Unit, 2 DEA Regenerator , and 1 Catalytic Hydrodesulfurization Unit. * '90 - Selected to be on the Beaumont Expansion Project as the Sulfur Complex S ite Specific Expert. This included being the operations representative for mult iple full scale HAZOPS, manual writing, contractor advisor, etc. * '92 - '08 Operations Coordinator for multiple turnarounds and unit specific re -vamps/expansions.
