VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), with specialties in Datacenter Administration (DCA) and Datacenter Design (DCD), has been created for VCP4 professionals who are ready to enhance their technical capabilities and add new, industry-recognized credentials to their list of accomplishments. The VCAP certification differentiates and acknowledges those individuals who have continued to grow and develop more complex skill sets beyond the VCP certification. VCAP also serves as a stepping stone to the elite VCDX level.

VMware Certified Advanced Professional 4 - Datacenter Administration

The VMware Certified Advanced Professional 4 - Datacenter Administration (VCAP4-DCA) is designed for Administrators, Consultants and Technical Support Engineers capable of working with large and more complex virtualized environments and can demonstrate technical leadership with VMware vSphere technologies. Successful candidates are also able to use automation tools, to plan and design virtualized solutions and to administer all vSphere Enterprise components.

The Path to Becoming a VCAP4-DCA

Achieving a VCAP-DCA certification validates your ability to:

Work with large and/or more complex virtualized environments and demonstrates technical leadership with VMware vSphere technologies Plan, implement, manage and maintain VMware vSphere deployments and administer all VMware vSphere components. A VCAP-DCA must also possess knowledge of adjacent, complementary technologies to VMware solutions, and will most likely have additional industry-recognized general IT certifications or the equivalent experience.
