BADERMAN SYSTEMS UPGRADE 2 Introduction 1. Baderman Management Group on behalf of Baderman Island Resorts referred hereafter as Baderman or Baderman Resorts respectively, is seeking proposals for Hardware and Software upgrade for Baderman Resorts under the consultation of Doing it with Dweebs, LLC (Meyers, 2009) referred to as Dweebs. This request for proposals (RFP), as intended defines a clear set of functional requirements as well as provides overall direction to proposers in submitting a proposal that will be responsive to Baderman Resorts needs.

2. The resulting contract will be a firm price contract for a reasonable period at Baderman's option. The anticipated effective date of the contract is June 2012. Dweebs an outside technical architecture consulting firm received the request for analysis, in a bundle of information from a mutual source. The specific request was of an: Analysis of factors involved in either upgrading or purchasing a software application (Witten, 2011), which means the request was for analysis of factors for upgrading their word processors over their structure. Dweebs is working on behalf of Baderman to the effect of, protecting its interests and ensuring that the product of the contract is suitable. The analysis revealed that a hardware upgrade would be necessary before upgrading the word processing software.

3. Project goals are as follows: Hardware removal and recycling, of out of date computers and systems. Installation of new systems with the minimal requirement of the most recent version of Microsoft Windows Software hereafter referred to as Windows with Microsoft Office Word, hereafter referred to as Word.

4. Scope of project: Under consultation from Dweebs, on behalf of Baderman, for Baderman resorts, seeks contract with Smith Systems Consulting or suitable company, for the replacement of end-user computer systems, recycling of those systems and the installation of minimally required hardware and assured functionality of the most recent version of Windows and Word.

5. Timely presentation of tentative proposal is required; any proposal pertaining thereto received after the announced time and date for submittal will be rejected. Proposal is tentative for the reason that elements must be discussed at the time of decision. It is the responsibility of the proposer for ensuring that their proposals are time stamped by purchasing department personnel before May 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. Project Proposal Schedule is a consideration for acceptance of proposal.

6. Budget will be decided upon acceptance of the proposal. Budget is a consideration for acceptance of proposal.

Requirements 1. Technical: a. Quality of product is measured by functioning systems at end of project through average system lifetime. b. Existing systems must be recycled and considered in proposal. Recycling can be a donation or physical recycling of systems, however must not adversely impact the environment and is a requirement for consideration. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of payment beyond cost of project. c. Hardware systems to be installed, is considered for acceptance of proposal. d. Operating systems should be the recent version of Windows. e. Systems under this proposal should readily be able to share documents and files and connect to the internet. f. Application software required as the recent version of Word and other applications is a consideration for acceptance of proposal. g. Communications between systems is a consideration for acceptance of proposal. h. Security of systems is a consideration for acceptance of proposal. i. Scalability: Systems scalability is a consideration for acceptance of proposal. j. Availability of Baderman Resorts facilities will be discussed at acceptance of proposal. k. Reliability: Proposal must have a consideration of reliability to be accepted. l. Maintenance is a consideration for acceptance for proposal. m. Disaster recovery must be considered by proposal to be accepted. i. Training and Documentation is a consideration of the proposal.

BADERMAN SYSTEMS UPGRADE 5 ii. Installation is required to be done at the most convenient time for Baderman Resorts and is a consideration of the proposal. iii. Cost is a consideration of the proposal.

Administration Information 1. Who may apply: Preference will be shown to Smith Systems Consulting; however any public company may apply, in accordance with law and can be awarded the project if bid and proposal better fits the needs of Baderman Resorts.

2. How to apply: a. Submittals, in three copies, bearing the title "Hardware and software upgrade will be received no later than 11:00 a.m., local time prevailing, on May 14, 2012 by: Baderman Island Resorts Attention: Jane Doe, agent of process 5432 Dweedle lane. b. This is also the designated time and place for opening the proposal. Proposals received after the announced time and date of receipt may disqualify your proposal from consideration. Nothing in this RFP precludes Baderman, Baderman Resorts or Dweebs from requesting additional information at any time during the procurement process.

BADERMAN SYSTEMS UPGRADE 6 3. Confidentiality is required: Confidentiality Agreement must be signed in ink at the decision of the award.

6. Proposal format is considered a formal and speculative proposal to be finalized based on decision to award.

7. Submissions will be received no later than 11:00 a.m. local time prevailing, on May 14, 2012.

8. Decision schedule is a consideration of proposal.

9. Selection criteria are covered exclusively by this document, the opinion of Dweebs, Baderman and Baderman Resorts.

10. Authority to bind firm in contract: proposers must provide full firm name and address. Failure to sign proposal by manual handwritten signature may disqualify it.

11. Cost of Preparation: Baderman, Baderman resorts and/or Dweebs will not pay any costs incurred in the proposal preparation, printing or demonstration process. All costs shall be borne by the proposers.

12. Rights to pertinent materials: all responses, inquires and correspondence relating to this project and all reports, charts, displays, schedules, exhibits and other documentation produced by the proposers as submitted, as part of the project shall become the property of Baderman and Baderman Resorts after the proposal submission deadline.

13. Selection procedure: selection may be made of proposer whom is deemed to be fully qualified and best suited among those submitting proposals, based on the factors involved in the request for proposal. Negotiation then will be conducted with the proposers selected. After negotiations are conducted with the proposers so selected, the representatives of Baderman and Baderman Resorts shall select the proposer, which, in its opinion, has made the best proposal and award the contract to that proposer.

12. Notice of award: letters to proposers informing them of Dweebs intent to enter into a contract.

BADERMAN SYSTEMS UPGRADE 8 13. Contract approval: Baderman's board of directors must approve the contract resulting from this solicitation. Dweebs will prepare a formal contract specific to this solicitation for execution by the successful contractor.

14. Proposal process: proposers are to submit written proposals, which present the proposers qualifications and understanding of the work, performed. The proposal should be prepared simply and economically and should provide all the information which it considers pertinent to its qualifications for the project and which respond to the background and scope of services and sections listed herein. Emphasis is placed on completeness of services offered and clarity of content.
