A seller/servicer must select an eligible document custodian to certify and hold custody of documents relating to mortgage loans it sells to Fannie Mae. The list below identifies all Active Document Custodians that are approved to certify and hold MBS mortgage loans for Fannie Mae. A custodian that wants to become an Active Document Custodian must submit a completed Application for Active Document Custodianship (Form 2008) and receive approval from Fannie Mae as an Active Document Custodian.
