After a while, he returned to the office and said, "A long time. We're gonna build a house." A couple of goobers in a pickup truck drove into a lumberyard. One of them walked into the office and said, "We need some four-bytwos." The clerk said, "You mean two-by-fours, don't you?" The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be. Anne Frank Maury and his wife showed up to a very popular restaurant, but it was very crowded. Mrs. Maury went up to the hostess and asked, "Will it be long?"

2012A YEAR THAT WILL TEST OUR FAITH

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Throughout the history of our country it has been honorable to be a Christian. Believers in every community were looked upon with respect. However, this is not the case any more. Presently in the U.S. and around the world , believers in Christ are looked upon with disdain. Liberals and Socialist have spued their venom on the churches to paint believers as ignorant, biased enemies of society. Today Christian bashing is practiced in the media and governments around the world. In our own country religious liberty is being limited and eroded. In June2010, World Net daily reported that Bert Hickman, with the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, confirmed that 105,000 people are killed every year because of their faith. Over the past ten years over 100,000 have been killed annually. Those figure are accurate Hickman said. The vast majority is murdered by radical Islamists. The United States indorsed the revolution in Egypt, even before they knew clearly who was behind it. Now army vehicles are running down Christians and many are being killed at will; and the Coptic Believers are under great persecution. The sad thing is that little is said about it in the news and our government stands by to allow it to happen. Today in our country Muslims are protected and given greater religious liberty than evangelical Christians. I believe that it is honorable and good that we provide religious liberty. It puts us a cut above the other nations of the world. But the same people who are passionate to protect the Muslims are bashing the Evangelicals. The Word of God teaches that all who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 The test is: Will we stand up and speak out and endure the consequences for Christ and His Church? Will we be half as brave as those believers in Egypt? In this land we still have the freedom to protest, to vote, to inform our representatives in government what we believe and what we expect. If we do not use those rights we will lose them. Let us put on the whole amour of God that we might stand faithful and obedient to Christ. Our attitude in standing is very important. We should never portray hatred, bitterness, ungodly anger or prejudice. We must maintain our ranks in love and compassion; in truth and faith; in a holy commitment to Christ. In the first century church; the more they were persecuted, the more the ranks of Christians grew and the stronger they became. The persecution ignited a fire of evangelism and soul-winning. The question is: could God be allowing this persecution to come in these last days to separate the chaff from the wheat; to purge His Church and to ignite once more the passion of evangelism that we might experience a great finale of His Church before He comes to receive her unto himself? Could this be the year that Jesus comes for His own? Beloved; Watch and pray!

The man said, "I'll go check," and went back to the truck. The hostess appeared to ignore her and kept writing in her book. So she asked again, "How much of He returned a minute later and said, "Yeah, I meant a wait?" two-by-fours." The hostess then looked up and said, "About ten minutes." "All right. How long do you need them?" A short time later they heard an announcement The customer paused for a minute and said, "I'd over the loudspeaker, "Willete B. Long, your table better go check." is ready."
