Environment means basically what surrounds us. At human level, it is what preserves life, which means we should approach it in a sustainable manner. At project level, it also means what preserves the actions, so we should treat it in a responsible manner. The first level words refer to human environment, the second to projects environment, the third refer simply to both we are all linked and we change, just like what surrounds us. b) Difference Diversity Opinion Group

Difference refers to human relations in a project. At first level, I looked towards the more personal aspect of it. Where there is diversity, there are also gaps (cultural, language, ethnicity, etc.), but also the possibility to build bridges and enjoy more creativity, innovation and the sense of belonging (level 3). At second level, I refer mainly to aspects of how differences occur: differences in opinion, communicating points of view. Communication also links to level 3. Projects are all about communication and sharing points of view, and in the spectacular HRD field, they create bridges between different groups and opinions. c) Challenging Thought Innovative Creative

Challenging means provocative anything that breaks system rules is a challenge. Any change is challenging, hence the reference to it. It can occur at thought personal level, as a certain situation or problem. If approached correctly, it can be innovative and creative. If not, it can be difficult. Within project it is my experience and probably several others that relationships are most challenging. And I would also add EGO to that. d) Dependence Group Relationship Inter-relation

Dependence gets me thinking of connections, where one is weaker and one is stronger. Hence hierarchy and disability. Dependence also makes me think of communication and connection, and also inter-relation. If I were to think of dependence within projects, leaving aside the natural flow of activities, where one activity seems to grow from a previous task or action, dependence makes me think of a project team and the roles and responsibilities and leadership going on. This is why I mostly look at it from a human perspective. e) Governance Good Administration Beaurocracy

This is actually the word / concept that mostly resembled projects, at least in my head. Good governance is a term of public administration, I believe. It means proper and right management? I am not very familiar with the field, but I see a project run almost like an administration. Its got rules, roles and procedures and works like a system. See dependence above. Again I looked at the word from a human capital development perspective. I see projects as very useful tools of education and learning (informal and non-formal, of course), and I also see them as dynamic and efficient places for groups and teams to work and collaborate. g) Evolution Progress Innovation Gadget

Again, three inter-connected layers or levels at the first level, something that concludes to the very definition of evolution. Spanning from it, the second level of innovation, creativity and technology. At third level, I played a little and thought what else could mean evolutions and came up with gadgets and tomorrow. The link to projects is quite simple: I feel that a project, no matter how badly managed or how useless, is still a step ahead.

I have to admit I went around in circles with this one Projects are educational facilities 1-0-1. I dont think anyone can deny it. They are also places for experimentation, for trial and error and for failure. The words sort of flow from one another: - Trying new things fosters learning, eventually evolution - Experimenting leads to new paths and options - Failure leads to a lesson, usually that you should not give up, thus appearing resilience What I would teach someone new at projects is that they should never give up the lesson and the trying and experimenting part. Two questions appeared for me: what and why I think they are very important in any project and most especially in any project management training program on the job. What and why can give even the dumbest person on Earth an idea on whether or not we have a point. I look at projects as ships and project managers as captains. If a project manager is good, then these are the two questions that he / she will answer. The Strategy is the how. Frankly, I had a lot of doubts as to why this word was here. So I played with the meaning of the word for a while and tried to gather some words that might allow me to play a little more and relate to projects So, it goes like this: a challenging thought, an innovative notion, a new idea or a creative idea, an abstract definition If you relate to projects, you see some pennies dropping: a project can be the result of a new idea, a challenging thought, it can provide abstract definitions, etc.
