1. The University of Tokyos Support Foundation Scholarship for international students 1st announcement for 2011
---------------------------------------------------Students who have not registered their information for scholarship application for the 2011 Academic Year are also eligible to apply. Qualifications: Self-supported international students who satisfy all the following conditions (*1): (1) With excellent academic record and character. (2) Should be regular students or research students enrolled in graduate school in April 2011. *1: Those who have extended their study period after the completion of the regular study period are eligible to apply. (3) With a college student visa. (4) In need of financial assistance. (5) Not receiving more than 50,000 Yen of scholarship amount during this scholarship period. *1: Those with other scholarships etc. studying in Japan, while holding position in a government agency or company in their home country, are not eligible to apply. (6) Should not be overseas on long trip/long-term research or take a leave of absence during the scholarship grant period. Number: 1 Scholarship amount per month: 50,000 Yen Scholarship grant period: 12 months (April 2011 ~ March 2012)

Extension is not considered.

Documents to be submitted: (1) Application form (Form 1) should be printed out back to back (2) Recommendation Letter from the supervising professor (Form 2) (*2) *2: Comment on academic ability should be included.
