Seco n d Half
With chartreuse, work as for first half.

Finishing
Block pieces so that they are exactly the
same size.

Assembly: Overlap the pieces so that

the burgundy piece is on top of the char-
treuse piece. With burgundy threaded on
a tapestry needle, sew the pieces tog as
invisibly as possible. On the WS of the
bag, sew along the bag base (where it
will be folded) to secure the two layers
tog. Fold the bag in half with RS tog and
sew side seams from the bottom corner
until even with the base of the V in the
center front and back of the bag. Weave
in loose ends. Turn bag RS out.

Felting: Place bag in net laundry bag

and run through washer cycle set on small
load, hot wash, and cold rinse, adding
a small amount of mild detergent. Stop
the washer periodically to check the prog-
ress of the felting; run through additional
cycles if necessary to achieve the desired
amount of felting (no stitches should be
3

visible).

Attach Handles: Attach burgundy handle

to top of chartreuse point on one side
of bag, and chartreuse handle to top of
burgundy point on other side of bag. To
attach handle, position end of handle be-
hind point and, using yarn color to match
point of bag, whipstitch (see Glossary,
page 000) in place.
