F ollowing the Art Nouveau era,
Art Deco became the trend from
1920−1939, reaching peak popularity
during the Roaring Twenties. The Art
Deco style contrasted the stylized and
flowing lines of its predecessor with
more structural, linear motifs. This collar
embodies the “transition” of Art Nouveau
to Art Deco. The Deco motif is brought to
life by the ornate clasp that serves as both
the closure and a decorative component.
