Standards: NETS for Teachers

I. TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS AND CONCEPTS Teachers demonstrate a sound understanding of technology operations and concepts. Teachers: A. demonstrate introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts related to technology (as described in the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for Students). B. demonstrate continual growth in technology knowledge and skills to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies. V. PRODUCTIVITY AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE Teachers use technology to enhance their productivity and professional practice. Teachers: A. use technology resources to engage in ongoing

professional development and lifelong learning. B. continually evaluate and reflect on professional practice to make informed decisions regarding the use of technology in support of student learning. C. apply technology to increase productivity. D. use technology to communicate and collaborate with peers, parents, and the larger community in order to nurture student learning.

Target Audience: The target audience for this video presentation should be adults, male and female 22 to 60 years of age. Included in this audience should be individuals from either/or/or both, the education field or the corporate field. The individuals should be viewing the presentation in order to gain knowledge of resources available to them that can assist them in their work environments. Teachers and corporate trainers should be the majority of the audience. Administrators from both arenas should be in attendance. The audience should consist of persons from various cultures. The majority of the audience should be college-trained, most having at least a Bachelors degree or Associates degree. This presentation should also be used to train students from the College Of Education in preparation for entering the workforce. Motivation is clear. These personnel should be enlisting in training which will assist them in identifying, learning and using resources that will create 21st century learning environment for either their classrooms or corporate training centers. Learning styles will vary. This videographer will note that and produce a resource which will garner enthusiasm for the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learner at minimum.

Based on the ARCS model table above, the following should occur for product effectiveness. Attention: Video is pleasing to the eye, fluid, informative and thoughtprovoking. Clients should be encouraged to create a higher-order thinking pattern which creates questions and problem solving scenarios. Relevance: Clients should understand the basis for the training. This in-part would be the responsibility of their coordinator as well as the product. The product should be appropriate to the needs of the learner. Confidence: Clients should be aware of all necessary requirements that allow them to be training-ready. Education, materials and attitudes towards training should be addressed prior to arrival on the training site. Satisfaction: The above three components of this model should create an atmosphere that includes a general idea of the essential and external gratifications that the utilization of the product and or product knowledge can produce.

Objectives

Audience: The audience will consist of adults from the education or corporate community. The ages should range from 22-60. Behavior: Clients will view a video concerning resources and tools available to them that will enhance learning by creating 21st century education and corporate training environments. Clients will be able to analyze data, manipulate tools, organize information, induct and deduct information and generate questions and suggestions which involve training and materials associated with said training Condition: Given a video product, students will participate in whole group, individual and cooperative group activities. Clients will view the video resource and collect data on a fact-gathering sheet. Clients will work in groups to share data and analyze. Clients will receive hands-on experience with at least one tool discussed in the video. Degree: Client supervisors will suggest a level of competence through observation and adjust behaviors accordingly. 80% accuracy should be a basis.
