When your PC accesses Internet through the USB interface of the broadband terminal for the first time, please install the USB driver in the supplied CD. There are several driver versions, which apply to Win2000, WinXP, Windows Server2003, Vista32, and Vista64 operation system respectively. There are
two kinds of USB driver installation methods, which are manual installation method and automatic installation method. Take the USB driver of Win2000 system for example, the driver installation steps are as

follows.
Note: The USB driver is applied to broadband USB terminals produced by Xinwei Company.

1. Installation

Switch on your PC and broadband terminal. Connect PC and broadband terminal with USB cable. Then the found new hardware wizard window will appear on the screen, as shown in figure 1-1.

Click next, the install hardware device drivers window will appear, as shown in figure 1-2.

Select search for a suitable driver for my device, and click next, the locate driver files window will appear, as shown in figure 1-3.

Select specify a location, and click next, the choose install folder window will appear, as shown in figure 1-4.

Insert the device driver CD into PC CD-ROM driver.

Click browse, found the netnnusb.inf file under the folder of Win2000 system in the device driver CD, as shown in figure 1-5. Then click open to select this file, the window will be as shown in figure 1-6.

Click ok, the driver files search results window will appear, as shown in figure 1-7.

Check the file path of the device driver, click next to install the driver.

10 During the installation, the digital signature not found window may pop up, as shown in figure 1-8, click

yes to continue the installation.

11 When the installation is finished, the completing the found new hardware wizard window will appear,

as shown in figure 1-9, click finish.

Automatic installation
The main steps of automatic installation method are as follows:

Implement step 1 and step 2 of the manual installation method. When the found new hardware wizard window appears on the screen, click cancel. Insert the device driver CD into PC CD-ROM driver, and double click the file usb_setup.exe under the folder usbdriver. The interface welcome to the installShield wizard for usb_driver will appear, click next. The installation program will search for the version of the computers operation system, and then the window as shown in figure 1-10 will pop up.

Click ok and next, the interface as shown in figure 1-8 may appear, click yes to continue.

When the installation is finished, the window as shown in figure 1-11 will appear, click finish.

2. Uninstall

Switch on your PC and broadband terminal , and connect PC and broadband terminal with USB cable. Right click on My Computer, select Manage. Then the Computer Management window will appear on the screen, select Device Manager on the left, as shown in figure 2-1.

Right click Xinwei Networks Modem in the Network adapters option on the right side of the window, and select Uninstall, as shown in figure 2-2.

The confirm device removal dialog box will pop up, click ok, and then the uninstallation is finished.

3. Upgrade
If you need to upgrade the USB driver, please uninstall the old USB driver following the steps in 2 Uninstall first; and then install the new USB driver following the steps in 1 Installation.
