Halliburton This company has become the object of several controversies involving the 2003 Iraq War and the company's ties to former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney. Vietnam Labor Watch, an activist group, has documented that factories contracted by this company have violated minimum wage and overtime laws in Vietnam as late as 1996, although they claim that this practice has been stopped.[25] The company has been subject to much critical coverage of the often poor working conditions and exploitation of cheap overseas labor employed in the free trade zones where their goods are typically manufactured.. The company is also the creator of the highly poisonous herbicide named Roundup ( a weed killer).. A 2008 scientific study found Roundup can cause the death of unborn children. Bernard Madoff a former American stockbroker, entrepreneur, and investor. He is the former non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock market, and the admitted operator of a Ponzi scheme that is considered to be the largest financial fraud in U.S. history.[4]

Chevron The oil and gas company has been criticised for a variety of environmental and human rights abuses. accused of dumping 18 billion gallons of toxic waste into the Ecuadorian Amazon. The oil giant has also been involved in human rights abuses with a group of Nigerian protestors campaigning against the company. Two of the protestors were shot by the Nigerian Army who had been transported to the scene by this company Arthur Anderson This company was broken up after Shredding documents related to audit client Enron after the SEC launched an inquiry into Enron. the firm agreed to surrender its CPA licenses and its right to practice before the SEC on August 31, 2002 - effectively putting the firm out of business. Watergate Scandal/Richard Nixon This political scandal during the 1970s in the United States resulted from the break-in of the Democratic National headquarters and the presidents administration's attempted cover-up of its involvement. Effects of the scandal eventually led to the resignation the President of the United States, on August 9, 1974 Rupert Murdoch This business magnate faced allegations that his companies, including the News of the World, owned by News Corporation, had been regularly hacking the phones of celebrities, royalty and public citizens. He faced police and government investigations into bribery and corruption in the UK and FBI investigations in the US.[11][12]

Tammy and Jim Baker This husband and wife team were known for founding Christian television program, the PTL (Praise the Lord Club). Their first show was first broadcast from Park Road in Charlotte .
