PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 IP VIDEO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM SPECIFICATION


A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. The IMZ series IP network based video management system (called system as described below) shall be a Windows-based application software, capable of recording streaming JPEG or MPEG-4 video, G.711 or G.726 audio as well as metadata, decode and display in multi-screen or single screen the decoded streams, and have software based I/O terminal interface to accept alarm triggers. 2. System shall have flexible license management which provides licensing for (1) camera, (4) cameras, (9) cameras, (16) cameras, and (32) cameras. Camera licenses can be combined in each server to suit the number of cameras in the system. 3. The system shall support analog CCTV cameras through Sony SNTV704 Video Network Server, which shall convert analog video and control signals to a TCP/IP stream, enabling System to a display, record and control analog cameras. 3rd party support for analog pan/tilt/zoom cameras shall be provided via the SNT-V704. Manufacturer models shall be listed in the SNT-V704 A&E documentation. 4. Other than specific listed models, the system shall support newer or future Sony models by listing them as Generic Cameras The system shall automatically obtain camera registration information from these cameras, to allow connection. 5. The system shall have the ability to display, record, and playback video from cameras located at remote multiple locations over an IP network. 6. The system shall provide a capability of Video Motion Detection (called VMD) on algorithm of server side.

7. The system shall have flexible recording function which includes manual recording, schedule recording, and pre-alarm/post-alarm recording, triggered by events such as sensor input, VMD (camera), VMD (recorder), and the following Video Motion Filters (called VMF) : Appearance, Disappearance, Existing, Capacity, Passing, and Unattended/Removed. 8. The system shall be capable of recording and storing images at frame rates between 1 frame per second, and 30 frames per second on a per camera basis. 9. The system shall be capable of simultaneously viewing, playing back recording, and exporting video. 10. The system shall provide a playback viewer screen, which shall provide the operator the ability to shuttle forward and backward on a frame-by-frame basis, or event-by-event basis. 11. The system shall be capable of displaying live images and playback images in any monitor window of a selected monitoring layout. Playback of any camera in a particular window in a multi-camera display configuration shall not stop live viewing of cameras in the other windows. 12. The system shall provide search functions to search recorded images by Time and Date, Camera, REC Type (Normal, Alarm, manual) and Video Motion Filter (VMF). 13. The system shall support Pan/Tilt/Zoom controls over TCP/IP. 14. The system, via mouse and keyboard, shall be able to auto center any on-screen PTZ stream. 15. The system shall provide an operator with up to 16 preset positions per pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) camera, and the ability to recall such presets. 16. The system shall have the capability to provide camera tours. 17. The system shall have a capability to create multi-camera viewing layout by defining number of rows and columns. 18. The system shall support the import and export of the site layout image files as BITMAP and JPEG.

19. The system mapping layouts shall be capable of being freely configured by the administrator. This function shall allow customizations and modifications to both new and old layouts to incorporate added icons or links. 20. The system shall support multi-level layout mapping in the GUI, with each layer capable of linking an icon or action button to another layer or camera image, or to a specific monitor window. 21. The system shall have the ability to perform a layout tour, which means it can switch layouts sequentially based on presets. 22. 23. The system shall be capable of grouping cameras, by which various parameters such as frame rate, image quality and video codec for multiple cameras shall be configured simultaneously. 24. The recording schedules shall be set with a group of cameras at the same time. 25. The system shall provide configurable group permissions for managing the access to the system as well as individual user permission.

26. The system shall be capable of detecting sensors tied to the alarm or sensor input terminals of the cameras, trigger any associated pan/tilt/zoom camera to move to a preset position, and initiate recording of any associated cameras. 27. The system shall support recorder based motion recording, as well as camera side motion detection based recording. 28. The system shall have a function for sending email notification message to the registered SMTP client address when an event occurs. E-mail notification shall be effective when action settings are configured to perform upon detection of events such as sensor input, VMD, VMF, hardware failures, system alerts, and manual triggers. 29. The system shall be capable of creating user defined actions upon triggers generated by the following events. a. Event source: 1. Sensor input 2. Video Motion Detection on system side 3. Video Motion Filter 4. Hardware failure on HDD, fan, voltage and abnormal temperature 5. System alert such as video loss and disk full 6. Manual trigger b. User defined actions are as follows: 1. Report by email 2. Start beep 3. Stop beep 4. Change monitor layout 5. Activate alarm out 6. Deactivate alarm out 7. Recall camera preset 30. The system shall provide a 24 hour scheduler structure to activate and deactivate the following features on a per camera basis: a. Bring cameras on/off line b. Sound audible alarm on motion detection in cameras field of view c. Send e-mail notification on motion detection of events with or without video image attachment

31. The system shall have advanced motion detection capabilities with ALL the functions as described below. The operator/administrator shall have the ability to use one, several or any non-conflicting combinations of the following functions, on a per camera basis. a. Pre & Post alarm recording: Start recording images up to 30 seconds before motion is detected in the cameras field of view and continue recording for up to 30 seconds after the motion has stopped in the cameras field of view. b. Motion Detection Threshold: Adjust motion sensitivity level in 1% increments from 0% -100% c. Automatically change record frame rate to a preset value when motion or alarm is detected. 32. The system shall support multi languages as follows: a. English b. Japanese c. French d. German e. Italian f. Spanish g. Simplified Chinese 33. The system shall incorporate Sonys Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA), in which a series of Sonys IP cameras send pre-processed video related metadata. 34. The system shall support both the Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD) and Intelligent Object Detection (IOD) functions of the camera. The IMD function shall be capable of triggering an alarm by using an advanced Sony algorithm, which shall minimize false alarms caused by noise and repetitive motion patterns. The IOD function shall be capable of detecting an object which has been taken away or left behind. These functions shall be mutually exclusive for each camera.

35. The system shall have the following 6 Video Motion Filters (VMF): a. Appearance filter: detects objects that match the detection criteria for objects entering into a user defined area. b. Disappearance filter: detects objects that match the detection criteria for objects exiting a predefined area. c. Existing filter (Loitering filter): detects objects that stays within a defined area longer than the set limit. d. Capacity filter: Triggers an alert when the number of detected objects meet or exceed the detection criteria for object number within the configured area. e. Passing filter or virtual borders: detects objects crossing the set virtual borderline, going in both directions or a specified direction. f. Unattended/Removed: detects objects that are left unattended or removed by comparing the retained background video data and live video data. 36. All DEPA functions shall be available with the following Sony IP cameras: SNC-RX530, SNC-RX550, SNC-RX570, SNC-RZ50, SNCCS50 SNC-DF50, and SNC-DF80. 37. DEPA functions with the exception of the unattended/removed VMF, shall be available with the following cameras: SNC-CM120, SNCDM110, SNC-DM160, SNC-DS10, SNC-DS60, and SNC-CS20. 38. The system shall receive and store the metadata for intelligent post video motion filter search and intelligent live video motion filter alarm in conjunction with 6 filters. 39. The system shall be capable of applying up to three filters (parallel mode), on a scene simultaneously. 40. The system shall be capable of applying up to three filters on a scene in a sequence or cascade fashion, whereby an alarm will only be triggered based upon events that violate the rules or filters one at a time in predefined order. 41. The system shall be capable of setting the minimum and maximum object size for detection. 42. The system shall be capable of setting the minimum object speed or the maximum object speed for detection.

43. The system shall have the ability to apply temporary filters to recorded images that have been recorded in conjunction with metadata, to limit searches to stored video based on these parameters. 44. The system shall be capable of saving configuration data of cameras, I/O boxes, audio, group settings, and remote servers as backup. 45. The system shall be capable of restoring configuration data of cameras, I/O boxes, audio, group settings, and remote servers as backup. 46. The system shall be capable of storing log files of user login, alarm event, and other system errors. 47. The Media File Player application software shall be bundled or be downloaded free of charge, with the RealShot Manager software to allow playback of CAM files on a Windows-based PC. 48. The system shall support data overwriting and clean-up function to keep enough capacity for recording. 49. The system shall provide API for integration with third-party software applications

B. VIDEO REQUIREMENTS: 1. The system shall support video streams that are encoded in MPEG-4 or JPEG. 2. The system shall be capable of accepting multiple simultaneous video streams from IP cameras using TCP/IP protocol. 3. The system shall be capable of digital zoom when playing back recorded video. 4. The system shall be capable of setting a hot-spot monitor in the custom layout. 5. Each monitor window shall be capable of indicating, but not necessarily be limited to, the following items: a. Camera name b. Status (recording type, playback status and speed) c. Bandwidth used for transferring images via network connection d. Number of frames received (camera image capture rate) e. Number of frames displayed (picture refresh rate), labeled as DIPS f. Live/Record image (a live or a recorded image)

g. Time (current date and time of live images or the recording date and time of played back images) h. Video Motion Filter (VMF) windows or objects detected for cameras that support this function i. VMD(Recorder) objects frames ON/OFF 6. The system shall provide a function of sequence mode for displaying multiple monitor layouts in sequence during a specified time period, which shall allow for monitoring numbers of cameras in desired sequences and layout patterns. 7. The system shall have a capability of two (2) video outputs for monitors. Monitor 1 shall be the main monitor window. Monitor 2 shall be capable of showing the same view as the Monitor 1 output, or used as a HotSpot monitor. Selected images or images from cameras triggered via sensor input or motion detection shall be displayed in the monitor window sequentially. The user or integrator shall be responsible to provide the necessary computer hardware to support this function. 8. The system shall have the capability to adjust the image resolution to 90 x 60, 90 x 72, 160 x 120, 176 x 112, 174 x 144, 180 x 121, 180 x 144, 192 x 144, 224 x 168, 256 x 192, 320 x 240, 352 x 240, 352 x 264, 352 x 288, 360 x 243, 360 x 288, 384 x 288 , 416 x 312, 448 x 336, 480 x 360, 512 x 384, 544 x 408, 576 x 432, 640 x 480, 704 x 480, 704 x 576, 736 x 544, 720 x 243, 720 x 288, 720 x 480, 720 x 486, 720 x 576, 768 x 576, 960 x 720, 1280 x 960. 9. The system shall have dynamic masking capability, which masks sensitive areas from both live display and recording. User shall have the option of changing the shape and type of masking such as Border, Gaussian blur, Luminance (Gamma), Mosaic (average), Mosaic (Duplicate), Random Noise, or solid colors at a minimum. 10. The system shall be capable of exporting recorded CAM files to AVI files. 11. The system shall be capable to take a snapshot of still image as JPEG format or BMP format.

C. AUDIO REQUIREMENTS: 1. The system shall be capable of audio recording, monitoring, and playing back with G.711/G.726 compression. 2. The system shall support up to same audio channel inputs as number of licensed cameras.

3. The system shall be capable of exporting both audio and video. Synchronization shall be on best effort, not to exceed 100 msec between the audio and video streams.

D. NETWORK REQUIREMENTS: 1. The system shall provide video surveillance over TCP/IP. 2. The system shall be capable of changing port numbers for client access. 3. The system shall have a capability of changing value of time-out for the connection between IP device and the RealShot Manager server. 4. The system shall be capable of accessing proxy server to connect cameras located outside network. The IP address and port number of the proxy server shall be configurable. 5. The system shall provide email notification when the system finds any video loss caused by a network interruption.

E. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: (for server and client) 1. Operating Systems: a. Windows Vista (Business, Enterprise) without Service Pack (except x64 edition) b. Windows XP Professional (except x64 edition) c. Windows Server 2003 (except x64 edition) d. Windows 2000 Server e. Windows 2000 Professional

2. CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz or higher (Only Intel-made CPUs are available for RealShot Manager) 3. Memory: 512MB or more 4. Video Card: 1024 x 768 pixel (16/24 bit color or higher) 5. The integrator shall clarify system requirements to ensure proper installation and operation of the software with the manufacturer or its representatives.

REMOTE CLIENT REQUIREMENTS: 1. The system shall include support for Remote Configuration and Management software (RealShot Manager client software, called client software as described below) to allow a user to remotely configure the unit, view live images, play back and search the desired recorded images. 2. F. LICENSE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. The system shall require online license registration. The online registration shall provide easy-to-use wizard type navigation. 2. The license files shall be delivered within 24 hours by email if all information is submitted correctly. Note: there may be some delay of delivery of licenses due to the system maintenance of the license server.
