Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN) is the State Power Generation
Company of Rajasthan, formed in the year 2000 upon restructuring of the erstwhile Rajasthan
State Electricity Board as part of Power Sector Reforms. It is presently operating (either
directly or through its wholly owned subsidiary companies) following power stations with
installed capacity of 4368 MW :-

(i) Kota Super Thermal Power Station (ii) Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Station
(iii) Chhabra Thermal Power Project (iv) Giral Lignite Thermal Power Station
(v) Dholpur Combined Cycle Power Project (vi) Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power Station
(vii) Hydro based 5 Power Stations

Construction activities of a greenfield Super Thermal Power Station with 2X600 MW
capacity at Kalisindh (Jhalawar) and extension Units of Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power
Station at Ramgarh (Jaisalmer) as well as Chhabra Thermal Power Station at Baran are
going-on in full swing. Apart from this, RVUN has started activities for setting up two Super
Critical Thermal Power Stations each of 2X660 MW capacity at Suratgarh and Chhabra,
aggregating the total generation capacity of the Company nearly 9000 MW.

For achieving the goal of becoming a power surplus State, applications are invited through
ONLINE/ OFFLINE procedure from those candidates who are willing to join RVUN & its
subsidiary companies for building their own bright career and are fulfilling eligibility criteria
as mentioned hereunder :-

In case candidates equal to number of vacancies under any one of the above four
Groups will not be available, then such unfilled vacancies of that Group shall be
filed from amongst eligible candidates of Group-I. However, if this situation arises
for Group-I too, then remaining unfilled vacancies of Group-I shall be filled from
amongst candidates of Group-II.

Number of vacancies indicated above may increase or decrease at the discretion of
RVUN, depending upon requirement and/ or availability/ non-availability of
vacancies due to one or other reason(s). No separate notification shall be issued for
any such change.

Mode of submitting application form:

A candidate can submit application form through ONLINE procedure or through
OFFLINE procedure, as he/she may consider appropriate.

It is however, advised that submition of application forms through ONLINE
procedure is in the interest of applicants, as the ONLINE system has
manifold advantages, some of which are narrated hereunder:-

(1) Registration of applications and transmission of data are faster and ensured.
(2) There is no need to dispatch application forms physically and hence no
postage is required for dispatch of applications. As such there is no
uncertainty and/or delay in reaching application forms at the destination
which are common cause of rejection when we send applications in physical
form.
(3) As the candidate himself/ herself enters details, data entry errors in
candidate particulars, such as name, date of birth, address, category, etc.,
are avoided.
(4) Applicants can download Permission/ Call Letters directly from Nigams
WEBSITE, thus there is no chance of misplacing/ non-delivering Permission/
Call Letters.
(5) Each applicant receives auto generated "Registration Number as soon as
he/she completes the `Registration process. Similarly, E-mail is sent to
candidates when they complete the process of submission of application form
by clicking `Confirm button in ONLINE application, which is a sound proof that
their data are transmitted properly, whereas in OFFLINE mode, receipt of
application forms send by post cannot be ensured.
(6) Applicants may get intimation regarding uploading of Permission/ Call Letters,
etc. through email/SMS at appropriate time, so they can download
Permission/ Call Letters at any time, from anywhere and even when they are
out of their city.

There is no separate reservation for handicapped and Ex-serviceman category
candidates. Candidates belonging to Ex-serviceman category may fill-up application
form for the said post in the respective category i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC/BC (including
persons belonging to SBC), if he/she fulfills all requisite terms & conditions.

fixed for Written Competitive Examination i.e. 13

requisite qualification.

Note (2):- In case any candidate does not acquire the requisite prescribed
qualification on or before the date fixed for Written Competitive Examination i.e.
13.5.2012, his/her candidature shall be rejected outrightly even if he/she qualifies
the written competitive examination conducted in this recruitment process.

Candidates must possess knowledge of 'Hindi' written in 'Devanagari script'.



3. Reservation :-
1. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC/BC (including persons belonging to SBC)
and Female categories shall be as per rules.
2. Reservation of vacancies for women candidates is Horizontal.
3. Reserved category candidates should belong to one of the categories
notified for the Rajasthan State as SC or ST or Non-creamy layer of
OBC/BC (including persons belonging to SBC). Caste certificates issued
in the prescribed format by the appropriate Competent Authority of
Rajasthan State only will be considered as valid for availing the
benefit of reservation, including relaxation in Application fee.
Married Female candidates of SC and ST Categories should produce
caste certificate issued with the name & residence of their father/
mother and not with the name & residence of their husband.
4. OBC/BC (including persons belonging to SBC) category candidates of
Non-creamy layer should produce certificates issued in the prescribed
format by the appropriate Competent Authority of Rajasthan State
only during the last six (6) months clearly indicating that they do
not belong to the "Creamy Layer.
The OBC/BC/SBC category Certificates of Non-creamy layer of a
married female candidate must be based on the name, residence &
income/wealth of her parents and not on the basis of the name,
residence & income/wealth of her husband.
5. Candidates not fulfilling the above criteria should apply as "Unreserved
(General) category candidates and should also submit Application fee,
accordingly.

4. Remuneration/ Salary :-

On appointment, candidates will be initially engaged as "Probationer-Trainee for a
period of two (2) years and during the period of probation-training, they will get
fixed remuneration of Rs. 5,900/- per month. No allowance will be payable. On
successful completion of probation training period, they will be fixed in the
Running Pay Band of Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1,850/- i.e.
at initial Basic pay of Rs. 7,340/- & other allowances, as per rules. In addition
to this Generation linked incentive shall also be paid at power generating stations
as per the relevant rules.

Facility of residential accommodation in the residential colonies of Company
(subject to availability) and conveyance facility between the colony & Power Station
may also be provided as per rules.

5. Selection Procedure :-

Selection shall be made through Written Competitive Examination. The standard of
the exam shall be of the level of ITI (NCVT/ SCVT)/ NAC qualification and the
'Syllabus' of each `Group shall be as provided on the website. The medium of the
Written Competitive Examination will be `Hindi' only.

The question paper shall be of 2 hours (two hours) duration of maximum 250
marks, consisting of 150 'Objective Type Questions' (Multiple Choice Questions-
MCQ) with five options of answers for each question, of which 50 questions shall be
on "General Awareness" with specific reference to Rajasthan State and
remaining 100 questions shall be asked to adjudge knowledge of topics detailed in
the "Syllabus of the concerned `Group for which the candidate has applied. There
shall be no negative marking.

In Part-A, each question will carry one mark and in Part-B, each question will carry
two marks.

There shall be separate Question Papers for each of the four Groups consisting of
questions on `General Awareness and also from all those Trades which are included
in the Group to which the candidate belongs as per the prescribed `Syllabus. Each

6. Preparation of Merit:-

In each Group, Merit List of all the successful candidates shall be prepared
separately for each category on the basis of marks secured in the Written
Competitive Exam.

However, if two or more candidates acquire the same merit position, then their date
of birth shall be deciding factor to determine their inter-se merit, i.e. the elder
candidate shall be placed higher in the merit-list.

7. Verification of documents:-

(a) In each Group, successful candidates equal to one & half times of
vacancies under each category shall be called for verification of documents,
strictly in order of merit from the "Category-wise Merit Lists of that Group.

(b) It shall be mandatory for every candidate to appear on the date notified for
this purpose, before the Committee constituted for verification of
documents.

(c) While appearing for documents verification, every candidate will have to
submit following documents in "Original, alongwith one set of photostat
copies of the same, duly self attested :-

(i) System Generated printout of Application Form with candidate's
own recent passport size colour Photograph pasted at the given
place and signed across on it as well as at other space(s) provided in
the Application Form (if applying Online).
(ii) Copy of 'Challan in support of depositing the prescribed fee.
(iii) Certificate/ Marks-sheet of Secondary School Exams in which Date
of Birth of the candidate is indicated.
(iv) Certificate and Mark Sheet of all years of ITI (NCVT/ SCVT)/
NAC qualifications.
(v) Degrees & Certificates of all other educational and professional
qualification, alongwith Marks-sheets of all years/ semesters.
If Grades, percentile, etc. are given instead of Marks, the formula
for converting the same into percentage of marks.
(vi) Certificate of SC or ST or OBC/BC (including persons belonging to
SBC) category candidates of Non-creamy layer, as the case may be,
issued by the concerned Competent Authority of Rajasthan State
Only (if applicable).
(vii) In case of any physical disability, Medical Certificate (indicating
type & percentage of disability) issued by the concerned Competent
Authority.
(viii) Marriage Registration Certificate issued by the concerned
Competent Authority (if married).
(ix) In case of married candidates, an affidavit clearly indicating name
and date of birth of Spouse and all Children, including adopted and
step children.
(x) All other documents, as per details given in the Advertisement/ Call
Letter.

(d) In case a candidate does not appear for verification of documents,
he/she will not be eligible for appointment in this recruitment process
and his/her candidature will be rejected automatically, without any
information. No second opportunity will be given for verification of
documents, in any circumstances.

8. Appointments and Reserved Lists :-

In each Group, Final "Merit Lists of eligible and suitable candidates, who will
appear before the Committee for documents verification, shall be prepared
separately for each Category.
Appointment to candidates equal to number of vacancies under each category in
each group, shall be made strictly in order of Merit from such "Merit Lists.
Remaining candidates, whose name will be appearing in the above merit lists but
could not be given appointment in the first phase, will be kept in panel and all
vacancies remained unfilled due to any reason, shall be filled from such `Reserved
Lists in order of Merit. However, mere inclusion of a name in any merit list shall not
confer any right for appointment in RVUN.
"Reserved Lists will remain in operation for the next twelve (12) months from the
date of preparation or till advertisement for the next recruitment process is
published, whichever is earlier.

9. General Conditions :-

(i) No candidate who is having more than two children on or after 01.06.2002,
is eligible for appointment in RVUN.
Provided that a candidate having more than two children, is not deemed to
be disqualified for appointment so long as the number of children he/she has
on 1st June, 2002 does not increase.
Provided further that where a candidate has only one child from earlier
delivery but more than one child are born out of a single subsequent
delivery, the children so born is deemed to be one entity while counting the
total number of children.
Provided also that while counting the total number of children of a candidate,
the child born from earlier delivery and having disability is not counted.
(ii) Married applicants are required to mention name of wife/ husband in the
Application form and should also submit "Marriage Registration Certificate at
the time of verification of documents. An Affidavit in support of Marriage will
not be considered as a valid document.
(iii) In case of non-availability of requisite number of eligible and suitable female
candidates of any particular category, such unfilled vacancies reserved for
that category will be filled from amongst male candidates of the same
category.
(iv) Prescribed qualifications are the minimum requisite qualifications and mere
possessing of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for written
exam/ verification of documents. If more than the required number of
candidates will be available, then candidates will be short-listed before calling
for verification of documents, commensurate with the number of vacancies
under each category, by prescribing certain higher criteria.
(v) On appointment, candidates will be required to furnish a "Bond and "Surety
in support thereof, as per rules. All terms & conditions prescribed for
appointment as a "Probationer Trainee shall also be applicable.
(vi) All candidates appointed through this recruitment process, will be posted at
the power stations/ projects of RVUN or its subsidiary companies, namely
Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Station, Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power
Project, Dholpur Combined Cycle Gas Power Project, Giral Lignite Thermal
Power Project, Chhabra Thermal Power Project, Kalisindh Super Thermal
Power Project and Hydro Power Stations - Mangrol Mini Hydel Project and
Jawahar Sagar Power Station. Candidates so appointed will not be
transferred.

accordingly, should submit Rs. 400/- as Application fee.


(B) Mode of payment of application fee

(i) For applying through `ONLINE procedure, application fee, as per category,
will have to be deposited in RVUNs Bank Account "SJ Power Jyoti
Account No, 1149941" in any branch of Stute unk of ikuner und
Juipur {SJ} through `Computer generated Challan obtained by the
candidate on his/her "Registration on RVUNs website.

(ii) For candidates applying through `OFFLINE procedure, prescribed format of
`Challan is available on RVUNs website. They will have to pay the
application fee as per their category in any branch of State Bank of
Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ) situated in all over India in "SJ Power Jyoti
Account No, 1149941" and should obtain the receipted copy of
Challan and Journal Number (Host Trace No. ) from the Bank.

(iii) No other financial instruments like Bankers Cheque/ Demand Draft/
Cheque/ Money Order/ Postal Order/ Postal Stamp, etc. is acceptable. Such
applications will be rejected.

(iv) Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and application
fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances, nor it can be held
in reserve for any other recruitment or selection process.

(v) Applications without having complete details in support of depositing `fee
or with incomplete/ incorrect details or insufficient fee, shall not be
entertained.

11. Procedure of applying through Online/ Offline procedure :-

(A) How to Apply ONLINE :-
(i) For applying through `ONLINE procedure, eligible candidates are required
to apply through RVUNs website - www.rvunl.com on or before
18

February, 2012 (5.00 PM).
(ii) The online Registration of applications will start on 27
th
January, 2012
(10.00 AM) and will remain operative till 18
th
February, 2012 (5.00 PM).
(iii) Candidates are required to have a valid personal "E-mail ID". It
should be kept active during the entire period of this recruitment process.
No change in the E-mail ID shall be permissible. Various information may be
sent by RVUN through such registered E-mail ID.
(iv) In case a candidate does not have a valid personal E-mail ID, he/she should
create his/ her own new personal E-mail ID before applying Online, which
should be valid for the entire duration of this recruitment process. Under no
circumstances, no one should share/ mention E-mail ID with or of
any other person.
(v) Applicants are first required to go to RVUNs website www.rvunl.com and
open the link 'CAREER'. Thereafter, they should open the sub-link titled as
Recruitment Of Technicians-III/ Plant Attendants-III/ Hydel Operator-III -
2012.
(vi) Then candidates will have to go to Step-2 and click the link - Click Here for
Registration & to Print Challan for Depositing Prescribed Fee. Fill all
information required for "Registration, `Submit it, Check the information
fed and thereafter `Confirm the same. On confirming, a unique "Registration
Number" will appear and simultaneously, a System Generated form of Challan
will also be generated. This "Registration Number will have to be used
lateron for filling up the online application form and other activities.
(vii) Candidates shall remit the prescribed application fee through such computer
generated "Challan from 27.01.2012 to 18.02.2012 in any branch of State
Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ) situated in all over India in "SJ
Power Jyoti Account No, 1149941" and should obtain the receipted
copy of Challan and Journal/ Host Trace No. from the Bank for Online
submission of application.
(viii) Candidates should obtain the "counterfoils (RVUNs Copy & Candidate's
Copy) of the Fee Payment Challan duly received by the Bank with (a)
Branch Name & Code Number, (b) Journal/ Host Trace No. and (c)
Date of Deposit & Amount filled by the Branch Official. Candidate should
himself/ herself ensure that all these entries filled by the Bank are clearly
legible.
(ix) Candidates are now ready to apply `Online by revisiting the 'CAREER' page
on RVUNs website and going to the link titled as Recruitment of Technician-
III/ Plant Attendants-III/ Hydel Operator-III - 2012 and thereafter go to the
Step-3 by clicking the sub-link titled as "Click here to Apply Online after
Registration & Depositing the Application Fee". Clicking this sub-link
will open up the prescribed Online Application Format.
(x) Carefully fill-in all necessary details from the `Fee Payment Challan in the
Online Application Form at the appropriate places, upload scanned
`Photograph and `Signature as per this detailed advertisement. It must be
ensured that the name of the candidate, name of father/husband, etc.
are spelt correctly in the application and are the same as are shown
in the relevant certificates/ mark sheets. Any difference / alteration
found in any information will disqualify his/her candidature.
(xi) Candidates must ensure that all entries made in the application form are
correct & then only should "Confirm the same Online.
(xii) Candidates should take a printout of system generated online
application and preserve it with them for their record but should not
send it at Nigam's address or any other address.
(xiii) Original "counterfoil" (RVUN's copy) of the "Fee Payment Challan"
will have to be submitted with the "Permission Letter" at the time of
Written Competitive Exam. Without "Original counterfoil" of the fee
payment challan, candidates will not be allowed to appear in the
Written Competitive Exam. Photocopy or Fax copy of 'fee payment
challan' will not be accepted at the time of written exam. Candidates
are, however, advised to keep 3 photostat copies of the fee payment
challan with them for their future reference/ use.

(B) How to Apply OFFLINE :-

(i) The "OFFLINE Applications should reach at the address given hereunder by
the 18

Applicants are first required to take a printout of the prescribed format of
"Fee-Challan as well as "Application Form from RVUNs website
www.rvunl.com.
(iii) Candidates shall remit the prescribed application fee through such "Challan
from 27.01.2012 to 18.02.2012 in any branch of State Bank of Bikaner &
Jaipur (SBBJ) situated in all over India in "SBBJ Power Jyoti Account
No. &&" and should obtain the receipted copy of Challan and
Journal Number (Host Trace No. ) from the Bank for Online Registration of
application.
(iv) Candidates should obtain the "counterfoils (RVUNs Copy & Candidate's
Copy) of the Fee Payment Challan duly received by the Bank with (a)
Branch Name & Code Number, (b) Journal/ Host Trace No. and (c)
Date of Deposit & Amount filled by the Branch Official. Candidate should
himself/ herself ensure that all these entries filled by the Bank are clearly
legible.
(v) Thereafter, candidates should carefully fill all details in the prescribed format
of "Application Form available on website, affix his/her recent passport-size
colour photograph at the given place and signed across on it as well as at
other space(s) provided in the Application Form.
Alternatively, the candidate may get the above referred format of
Application, typed on paper of 13x8 size and fill-up the same as per the
procedure detailed in this detailed advertisement.
(vi) Completely filled application form, alongwith original counterfoil of RVUNs
copy of "fee payment Challan should be sent by "Ordinary Post" only in
a closed envelope clearly mentioning "Application for the post of
Technician-III/ Plant Attendant-III/ Hydel Operator-III, 2012" so

(vii) Candidature of a candidate is liable to be rejected if the application form is
not received or received un-signed or received without his/her photograph
pasted at the given place or without prescribed `Fee Payment Challan of the
required amount or received late i.e. after the due date & time.
(viii) RVUN will not be responsible for any postal delay in receipt of Application
Form or loss of Application Form/ Photograph/ Fee Payment Challan in
transit or delay in submission of Application Form within the specified time.

12. Other Instructions :-
a. Before applying, the candidate should ensure at his/ her own level that
he/ she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other conditions mentioned in
this detailed advertisement at website www.rvunl.com .
b. The Written Competitive Exams will be held at Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur,
Udaipur and Bikaner only. Candidates must mention name of atleast three
Cities of their choice, in order of their preference for examination center.
However, in case of any situation beyond control of RVUN, examination center
may be allotted at any city other than their first choice.
c. Candidates should ensure that particulars submitted, are complete and
correct in all respect.
d. Permission at all stages of the recruitment process will be purely provisional
subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility criteria and also presuming that
all information submitted by candidates are complete & correct. Verification of
documents/ checking of eligibility criteria with reference to original documents
as well as other terms & conditions will be done only at the time of
Verification of Documents.
e. Eligibility of a candidate with regard to "Age shall be determined on the last

issuance of Mark-Sheet shall be treated as the date of acquiring the
qualification. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
f. Candidature of a candidate is liable to be rejected automatically at any stage
of recruitment process if any information provided by the candidate is found
incomplete/incorrect/false or he/ she suppresses any information/material
fact or is not found in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in the
advertisement/ relevant provisions. If, at any time during recruitment process
or even after joining services by a candidate, any shortcoming is noticed, his/
her services will be liable to be terminated without any notice.
g. All candidates having registration in Manpower Planning Department,
Rajasthan or Employment Exchanges are also required to apply through these
procedures only.
h. RVUN will not be responsible for bouncing back of any E-mail/ SMS sent to or
by a candidate. Similarly, RVUN will not be responsible for any postal delay
in receipt of Application Form or loss of Application Form/ Photograph/
Fee Payment Challan in transit or delay in submission of Application
Form within the specified time.
i. Candidates already employed with Government Departments / PSUs /
Autonomous Bodies will have to produce `No Objection Certificate (NOC) from
that employer at the time of joining services in RVUN, if offered appointment.
j. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for participating in this recruitment
process.
k. RVUN reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge/ modify / alter the
recruitment process, if need so arises, without issuing any notice.
l. In case of any cause / dispute, the Legal jurisdiction will be Jaipur.
