Yea, so i wish you a warm welcome in Romania on the behalf of SC2 Vidcasts Romania Team.

What do you think about the people and out country? Thank you for the warm welcome :) As far as the people in Romania, I think that people are generally the same no matter where it is you go. Some people are nice, and others, not so much. But I do like it here and I have already made many good friends. INTERVIEW 1. Please introduce yourself: your name, age, previous experience in RTS games, championship titles, if any, your ladder level - master, grand master etc. Hi, I'm Austin 'RaNgeD' King, and I play for the Romanian Starcraft II team Newrosoft. I'm 21 years of age, from Washington State, USA. I previously played Starcraft Brood War, my only sizeable accomplishment there was a 3rd place finish at WCG USA, in 2010. In Starcraft II I'm Grandmaster level, although I haven't achieved it this season due to playing many games on the Korean server for the previous season. I am however the #1 Master player in pts on Europe, as of today. 2. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's talk about Starcraft2: what is your main race and why did you choose it? Was your choice based on the race's mechanics or your choice was influenced by the Starcraft2 storyline and lore? My main race in Starcraft II is protoss. I mostly picked protoss because I played them in Starcraft Brood War. I wasn't influenced at all by the mechanics - If I would have played all the races a bit before choosing, I may have chosen zerg; because in Starcraft Brood War I prefered a macro style. But now that I'll had time to improve as protoss, my control has improved and I'm happy with the race that I play. 3. Which races do you struggle against and why? Of all the races I think I struggle against zerg the most, because a lot of my builds are passive and late-game centric. If you let a zerg sit for too long they can get too big; So i've been working on ways to slow them down. 4. What is your training schedule here in Romania and at team NRS? Could you give us a breakdown for one of your days - how much are you training? Are the games mostly ladder, how much time do you train with your team mates and what is the average of games you play in a week? Now that I am here in Romania, my training schedule is a lot more rigorous than it was when I was at home. A typical day starts with ReSpOnSe and I going to the gym for 1.5 hours, before returning to our PC's to begin practice. On average I would say we play 10 hours a day, sometimes more. Our games mainly consist of ladder, and since the 3 players in our house are all protoss, we don't play any inhouse games. However, we do watch each other play, and coach each other in and out of games.

It's very helpful. 5. Why did you decide to come to Romania? Do you think you have more chances here in Eastern Europe than you might have had back in the States? What was your logic behind this decission and what do you hope to achieve by coming to Romania? My reasoning for coming to Romania is mainly for practice. At home I have many distractions, and even though I was trying very hard to be successful, I was losing motivation due to other things around me, and the fact that I wasn't living with other people who were also playing Starcraft. While i'm here I expect to get much much better. I hope to make a name for both my team and myself. 6. Could you give us your evaluation about the best players in Europe for each race? Who are the best players for Terran, Zerg, Protoss, in your opinion?' I don't know every player, and it's hard to judge skill off of just one or two games. But If I had to choose a player for each race, I think for zerg it would be Stephano or Nerchio. For terran it would be Kas; and for protoss I want to say Sase or Naniwa. 7. What buffs and nerfs should be applied to each race and why, based on your experience? I'm really not sure what should be nerfed or buffed - I think the state of the game is very good right now. The games needs some more time to evolve before anymore changes are made. 8. What are the goals you want to achieve at NRS during 2012? During 2012 I want to win in all of our team leagues, and do my best to help my teammates and I qualify for LAN events and big online tournaments. 9. How do you comment on the latest result regarding the qualifier for NASL3? Do you see this result as an improvment in your team's results or as a failure to qualify? NrS came very close to qualifying for NASTL, and even though we were very disappointed at our loss to Roxkis; I do see our performance as an improvement. There will be other chances for our team to show how strong we are in the future. 10. How long are you planning to stay in Romania and be a player for NRS? What country would be your next choice when your contract with NRS will eventually end? As long as i'm a pro gamer I will live away from home - So other than going home to visit 1-2 weeks every 3 months, I will live in Romania. If I had a choice, obviously Korea would be where I would want to live; But right now I'm grateful for my circumstances and I will do my best with what i've been given. Thank you for your time and GL in your future competitions!
