plying vacuum.The vacuumshould leak.
c. After 3 minuteshave elapsedafter starting
engine,raisethe enginespeedto 3000 rpm. Ap-
ply 14.8 in. Hg of vacuum.Vacuumshould be
maintainedmomentarily,afterwhich it will leak.
*The vacuumwill leak continuouslyif the
altitude is 7200ft. or higher or the air tem-
peratureis 122°F(50°C)or higher.
5. If the resultsof eithertest differsfrom specifi-
cations,the systemis not functioningproperlyand
will requirefurtherdiagnosis.
