Once you have all of your computers connected, you are ready to install the EZ 3-Click Installation Wizard. Remove the CD-ROM from the box. If the computer is off, turn it on. When the computer boots up, insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer that is connected to the BarricadeTM g router.

Connect all of the computers that you want to have share your Internet connection. This is necessary to detect that each device is properly connected. It is safe to connect and disconnect Ethernet cables from your computer(s), BarricadeTM g, or broadband modem when it is turned on. Use the above diagram when setting up your network. Note: Please use standard Category 5 (CAT-5) Ethernet cables with RJ-45 connectors.

Macintosh Users
If you are setting up the BarricadeTM g Router in an ALL Macintosh network, please see the manual for specific instructions about configuring and setting up the BarricadeTM g. The EZ 3-Click Installation Wizard is not compatible with the MacOS.

Introduction
Configuring your Macintosh
Once you have connected the BarricadeTM g Router to your Broadband modem, then connected your Macintosh to the BarricadeTM g, you are ready to configure your computer to connect to your BarricadeTM g. Once you have connected these devices, using CAT-5 Ethernet cabling, please check the BarricadeTM g port lights to verify that you have a good connection. The WAN light verifies that you have good connection from your broadband modem to the BarricadeTM g. The PORT light verifies that you have a good connection between a computer and the BarricadeTM g. This light will also display the connection speed (10Mbps or 100Mbps). If you connect all the devices together and dont get a valid WAN / PORT light status, then please check the cables.

Introduction
If [Using DHCP Server] is already selected in the [Configure] field, then your computer is already configured for a DHCP connection. Please verify your IP information against the information outlined below: IP address is now 192.168.2.xxx (Where xxx is a number from 1-253). Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. Default Gateway is 192.168.2.1. If you have that information listed in your IP information then you are ready to configure the BarricadeTM g. Please go to: Disable HTTP Proxy. If not, then please continue with the following steps. 3. Set the [Configure] option to Step 2 [Using DHCP Server] then close the [TCP/IP] dialog box and you will be prompted to save the settings. 4. Click the [Save] button to save the new changes.

Configuring TCP/IP Settings

Once you have verified that you have a good network connection to all of your devices, then you will need to check your computers network settings. To do this, please follow the steps to the right: 1. Pull down the [Apple] menu, then click the [Control Panels] option and select [TCP/IP]. 2. In the [TCP/IP] dialog box, make sure that [Ethernet] is selected in the [Connect Via:] field.

Once you have a valid IP address on your computer, you are ready to configure the BarricadeTM g for your Internet Provider. Before you can access the web-based administration page, you will need to verify that the HTTP Proxy feature of your Web browser is disabled. To do this, please follow the steps below depending on the browser you are using.

Konfiguration des Macintosh Systems

Nachdem Sie den BarricadeTM g-Router mit Ihrem Breitbandmodem und dann Ihren Macintosh mit dem BarricadeTM g verbunden haben, knnen Sie Ihren Computer fr die Verbindung zu Ihrem BarricadeTM g konfigurieren. Nachdem Sie diese Gerte mit Ethernet-Kabel (Kat. 5) verbunden haben, prfen Sie bitte die Port-LEDs des BarricadeTM g, um zu prfen, ob eine gute Verbindung besteht. Die WAN-LED zeigt an, dass zwischen dem Breitbandmodem und dem BarricadeTM g eine gute Verbindung besteht. Die PORT-LED zeigt an, dass zwischen einem Computer und dem BarricadeTM) g eine gute Verbindung besteht. Diese LED zeigt auch die Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit (10 MBit/s oder 100 MBit/s) an. Configuration requise
Avant de pouvoir utiliser le routeur SMCWBRP-G, vous devez disposer des lments suivants : Un ordinateur sous Windows au moins doit tre quip dun lecteur de CD-ROM. Vous devez disposer de tous les cbles Ethernet CAT-5 supplmentaires ventuellement ncessaires la connexion dautres ordinateurs. Chaque ordinateur doit disposer dune carte rseau Ethernet interne ou externe correctement installe. Un modem Cble/DSL doit tre install et la connexion Internet doit fonctionner sur au moins un ordinateur.

Configuration de votre ordinateur Macintosh

Une fois que vous avez connect le routeur BarricadeTM g votre modem haut dbit puis connect votre Macintosh au routeur BarricadeTM g, vous tes prt configurer votre ordinateur pour la connexion votre routeur BarricadeTM g. Aprs avoir connect ces priphriques au moyen dun cblage Ethernet CAT-5, examinez les tmoins lumineux des ports du routeur BarricadeTM pour vrifier que votre connexion est correcte. Le tmoin WAN atteste du bon fonctionnement de la connexion entre votre modem haut dbit et le routeur BarricadeTM g. Le tmoin PORT atteste du bon fonctionnement de la connexion entre lordinateur et le routeur BarricadeTM g. Ce tmoin montre aussi la vitesse de la connexion (10 Mbps ou 100 Mbps). Si, aprs avoir connect tous les priphriques, vous nobtenez pas un tat correct des tmoins WAN/PORT, vrifiez les cbles.

Si loption [Using DHCP Server] (Utiliser un serveur DHCP) est slectionne dans la zone [Configure] (Configuration), votre ordinateur est dj configur pour une connexion DHCP. Vrifiez vos informations IP par rapport aux informations suivantes : Ladresse IP doit maintenant tre 192.168.2.xxx (o xxx est un nombre compris entre 1 et 253). Le masque de sous-rseau doit tre 255.255.255.0.

Introduccin
Configuracin de un ordenador Macintosh
Una vez que haya conectado el router BarricadeTM g con el mdem de banda ancha y el Macintosh con el BarricadeTMg, ya podr configurar el ordenador para que se conecte con el BarricadeTM g. Despus de conectar estos dispositivos, utilizando cables Ethernet CAT-5, compruebe las luces de los puertos del BarricadeTM g para saber si dispone de una buena conexin. La luz WAN indica si existe una buena conexin entre el mdem de banda ancha y el BarricadeTM g. La luz PORT comprueba que haya una buena conexin entre el ordenador y el BarricadeTM g.Tambin muestra la velocidad de conexin (10 Mbps o 100 Mbps). Si conecta todos los dispositivos entre s y el estado de la luz WAN / PORT no es vlida, compruebe los cables.

Introduccin
Si en el campo [Configure] (Configurar) ya est seleccionado [Using DHCP Server] (Usar servidor DHCP), el ordenador ya est configurado para una conexin DHCP. Configurazione di un Macintosh
Dopo aver collegato il router BarricadeTM g al modem a banda larga e, successivamente, il Macintosh al router BarricadeTM g, possibile avviare la configurazione del computer da collegare a BarricadeTM g. Dopo aver collegato queste periferiche tramite cablaggi Ethernet CAT-5, controllare i LED delle porte di BarricadeTM g per verificare che la connessione sia stabile. Il LED WAN verifica che la connessione dal modem a banda larga a BarricadeTM g sia stabile. Il LED PORT segnala la stabilit della connessione fra un computer e il router BarricadeTM g. Questo LED serve inoltre a visualizzare la velocit della connessione (10 Mbps o 100 Mbps). Se tutte le periferiche sono connesse tra di loro, ma il LED WAN/ PORT non si accende correttamente, controllare i cavi.

Introduzione

Inleiding
Uw Macintosh configureren
Nadat u de BarricadeTM g Router hebt aangesloten op uw breedbandmodem en vervolgens uw Macintosh hebt aangesloten op de BarricadeTM g, kunt u de computer gaan configureren voor het maken van een verbinding met uw BarricadeTM g. Nadat u deze apparaten hebt aangesloten via CAT-5 Ethernetkabels, controleert u de poortlampjes van de BarricadeTM g om te bepalen of u een goede verbinding hebt. WAN-lampje geeft aan of er een goede verbinding is tussen uw breedbandmodem en de BarricadeTM g. Het PORT-lampje geeft aan of er een goede verbinding is tussen de computer en de BarricadeTM g. Met dit lampje wordt tevens de verbindingssnelheid aangegeven (10Mbps of 100Mbps). Als u alle apparaten op elkaar aansluit en de lampjes WAN en PORT geen geldige status aangeven, controleert u de kabels. Als [Using DHCP Server] (Via DHCP) reeds is ingeschakeld in het veld [Configure] (Configuratie), is de computer al geconfigureerd voor een DHCP-verbinding. Controleer uw IP-gegevens op basis van de onderstaande informatie: Het IP-adres is nu 192.168.2.xxx (waarbij xxx een getal is van 1 tot 253). Subnetmasker is 255.255.255.0. Standaardgateway is 192.168.2.1.

TCP/IP-instellingen configureren

Introduo
Configurar um Computador Macintosh
Depois de ligar o Router BarricadeTM g ao modem de banda larga e de ligar o Macintosh ao BarricadeTM g, poder configurar o computador para a ligao ao BarricadeTM g. Uma vez concluda a ligao destes dispositivos, utilizando cabos Ethernet CAT-5, verifique as luzes da porta do BarricadeTM g, para se certificar de que a ligao foi correctamente efectuada. A luz WAN confirma a ligao correcta entre o modem de banda larga e o BarricadeTM g. A luz PORT confirma a ligao correcta entre um computador e o BarricadeTM g. Esta luz tambm apresenta a velocidade da ligao (10Mbps ou 100Mbps). Se ligar todos os dispositivos e no obtiver uma luz WAN / PORT vlida, verifique os cabos.

Introduo
Se a opo [Using DHCP Server] (Utilizar Servidor DHCP) j estiver seleccionada no campo [Configure] (Configurar), o computador j est configurado para uma ligao DHCP. Compare os seus dados IP com as informaes seguintes: O endereo IP passou a ser 192.168.2.xxx (Em que xxx um nmero de 1 a 253). A Mscara de Sub-rede 255.255.255.0. A Porta de Ligao Assumida 192.168.2.1. Se forem estes os seus dados IP, poder configurar o BarricadeTM g. Avance para: Desactivar o Proxy HTTP. Caso contrrio, continue com os passos seguintes. 3. Defina a opo [Configure] (Configurar) como [Using DHCP Server] (Utilizar Servidor DHCP) e, em seguida, feche a caixa de dilogo [TCP/IP]; ser-lhe- apresentado o pedido para guardar as definies. 4. Faa clique no boto [Save] (Guardar) para guardar as alteraes.

Desactivar o Proxy HTTP

Depois de ter um endereo IP vlido no seu computador, poder configurar o BarricadeTM g para o seu Fornecedor de Servios de Internet. Para poder aceder pgina de administrao na Internet, ter de se certificar de que a funo Proxy HTTP do programa de navegao est desactivada. Para tal, execute os seguintes passos, em funo do programa de navegao que estiver a utilizar.

1. Abra o Netscape e faa clique no boto [Stop] (Parar). Faa clique em [Edit] (Editar) e seleccione [Preferences] (Preferncias). 2. Na caixa de dilogo [Preferences] (Preferncias), na coluna da esquerda, denominada [Category] (Categoria), faa clique na opo [Advanced] (Avanada). 3. Na categoria [Advanced] (Avanada), seleccione a opo [Proxies]. 4. Seleccione a opo [Direct Connection to the Internet] (Ligao directa Internet) e faa clique em [OK].
