Monday, February 13 Free Counseling Services from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment please fill out a referral form with the receptionist. Tuesday, February 15, 2012 Lots of Love Talent Show at 12 p.m. Center participants will be sharing their love by performing their talents. Interested in sharing your love? Wednesday, February 15 Employment Assistance Services for individuals with disabilities from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. provided by the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). Please ask for Ms. Ramona Contreras. Quality for All from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This three day workshop (2/15, 2/21 & 2/28) provided by La Vida Institute and presented by Alicia will help participants examine their attitudes, perceptions, and possible fears about inclusion. Thursday, February 16 Free Counseling Services from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment please fill out a referral form with the receptionist. What to do with Children 6-12 Years Old Part I at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. La Vida Institute will teach participants how to create the environment for educational development for 6-12 year-olds. And help participants get to know which materials and equipment work for children in these age rangers in the classroom or home. Indoors or outdoors. The training is designed for licensed home, registered centers, directors, staff and foster care. Competency Level: Learning Environments & Curriculum Implementation Issues Forum at 6 p.m. Come listen to candidate answers to questions on economic development, public safety, infrastructure, youth and more. Friday, February 17 40-Hour Intensive Rural Domestic Violence Training starting at 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Friday until March 9, 2012. Increase your knowledge about the dynamics of rural domestic violence. Determine how to safely assist and provide support to those in violent situations through referrals and providing safety planning information. Work to decrease shame and silence around domestic violence. Social Work CEUs will be provided to those participating in the training as appropriate.

CHCA Program: Migrant & seasonal farm workers with disabilities receive outreach, translation, referral, transportation, job readiness & job search & other supportive services as assigned by the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Counseling Services: Individual, group counseling, case management & referral services. Services offered Monday & Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. A referral form must be filled out to receive services. Emergency Food Pantry: We collect & distribute canned food donations to individuals & families in need. The Pantry is open Monday-Thursday from 9 am-3 pm. Honeycomb Thrift Store: The store provides people the opportunity to recycle clothing, office equipment, furniture, electronics, small applications, housewares, books & more for our usage, to fundraise or to donate to the community based on their needs. The store is open Monday-Thursdays from 9 am-3 pm. NMWIP: Provides benefits advisement to people receiving Social Security Disability Benefits (SSDB) ages 14-64. Notary Services: Notary Services and VIN inspections every Friday. Cost of services will vary. Reiki is an alternative healing method which improves recovery from illness, release of addictions, heals trauma, rehab after injury or surgery, immune disorders, insomnia & fatigue, anxiety & stress, & depression & grieving. To set up an appointment call 575-882-5556. Sexual Assault Recovery Services: La Pion provides full-service sexual assault response services to victims & their families. A special meeting place is designated for victims & their families to meet with La Pion staff as needed. Syringe Exchange Program: The NM Health Dept. staff exchange used syringes for new ones, provide health information; referrals to social, human, mental health & substance abuse treatment services. The program is confidential & theres no enrollment fee. They are at the Center the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month from 1 pm to 4 pm. For additional info contact Merced Jasso at 575-5285095. Toy Lending Library: La Vida Institute provides developmentally appropriate toys & materials for children ages 0-12 years old available for check-out free of charge. Training and Technical Assistance Program for Child Care Providers: La Vida Institute provides trainings for the local community from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
