Abstract
The Global Bass Showcase Tour is a tour involving 14 electronic music acts which travels through the Southwest United States during the month of March. The artists involved are the most promising up-and-coming DJs, producers and artists in the Global Bass movement (read on for more information on the movement). The purpose of the tour is to introduce people to Global Bass music, and shine a light on the Global Underground Network (GUN) collective and the individual artists performing. The tour makes six stops over 15 days in March, starting in Dallas, then traveling on to Austin for the entire week of the SXSW Music Festival, then through New Orleans, Atlanta, and Panama City, concluding in Miami for the Ultra Music Festival and end of the World Music Conference.

well as any music that is heavily influenced by any of these cultures or genres. The beauty of the Global Bass movement is that it brings together many varying and unique sounds of cultures from around the world into one context. The few things all the sounds have in common are: the bass-centered nature, the creativity and cultural flavor expressed, and the music is made for dancing. Not only does Global Bass mean different things to different people, but it is continually evolving and changing. The Global Bass movement is actively growing in size and popularity, as more people around the world become exposed to it. Global Bass parties are now popping up in cities all around the world.
