Welcome Tonights HG will continue to focus on the words from Jesus model prayer. Give a 3 x 5 index card to each of your guests (kids too) and list at least one impactful truth they have learned during the first four weeks of our Prototype series. These will be shared during the Family Time below. Opening Prayer Before dinner, pray on behalf of your HG members. Confess to God (which means to agree with) that far to often we have used His name in vain. Ask for the Holy Spirit to convict our hearts so that we can repent; and in so doing, we can hold His name dear to our heart.

Family Time Break into groups comprised of both adults and kids. Take a few moments to share what each of you wrote on your 3 x 5 index card. Then, take a few additional moments within your group to share, more in-depth, one thing another member of the group has been impacted by during the current series. Kids Time Pantego is challenging every child to memorize ALL OF Matthew 6:9-13. Have a sheet of paper for each of the five phrases in vv. 9-10. Start by challenging the kids to see if any of them can put all the phrases in their correct order. Then, break into the same groups as above and work with the kids until they have vv. 9 AND 10 memorized (when accomplished, theyll be ahead of schedule!) Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. In this weeks passage, Hannah celebrates the many ways in which God intervenes on behalf of his people. Have each child make a list of as many ways they can think of, in which God has helped them, their family, a friend or perhaps someone else. Then allow for plenty of time for each child to share their list with the rest of the group. Adult Time In what ways can people use Gods name in vain? (Note: its not just cursing...but ANYTIME we speak of God in a casual, careless manner: Oh my G-d, thats cool; or when we say something is of God when its actually not, etc). As a follow-up, discuss what we mean when we say that God is holy. (Note: if we really believe all that has been discussed, how should that motivate us to only speak of God in an appropriate/honorable manner?) Some times, from our perspective, God doesnt seem to intervene in a timely manner. Yet, oftentimes, hopefully every time, we look back and see how God was at work all along, often accomplishing more in us than our perceived need. Have members share a testimony or two of Gods perfect timing. Allow those who are presently waiting on God to share as well. Perhaps you could end the discussion by reading Matthew 6:25-33, Philippians 4:6-7, a Psalm or any other passage the Lord brings to mind. Prayer Time Take a few moments to lift up Pastor Daniels in prayer for spiritual protection as he prepares the upcoming messages in the PROTOTYPE series. Pray for those in other parts of the world who have never heard the name of God; especially the name of his Son, Jesus who died on the cross so that we might be forgiven. Take a few extra minutes to pray over any of those in your HG that are presently going through a rough season of life and are in great need of Gods divine intervention.
