Choose the correct STT. If you have completed Calculus 12 or equivalent, register for a STT that includes MATH 104. Otherwise, register for a STT that includes MATH 184. Register for ENGL 112 regardless of whether you have passed the Language Proficiency Index (LPI) exam. You can keep your seat in the course by achieving a score of at least 5 on the LPI or by meeting one of the exemptions listed on the English Department website at www.english.ubc.ca/ugrad/1styear/. If you are not eligible to register in first year English, we recommend that you register for Writing 098, which is a non-credit course. Register for Non-Commerce Electives. Choose electives that interest you, but be careful as some courses do not count towards the BCom degree. These are listed on the BCom website. If youre thinking about international business, you should consider starting your language courses. If you require registration assistance for any Commerce courses, please use the online request form found on the BCom website under Academic Student Services. Be sure to carefully review the criteria for a request before submitting the form.
