TrAc Pack UV Spotlight PS 135

GENERAL You have chosen the most powerful UVA light currently available on the market. Depending on the distance concerned, UVA intensity is up to 45 times stronger than that of most common lamps on the market. The excitation of fluorescence with extreme reflection within the visible light spectrum takes place even with the lamp positioned several hundred metres from the object. The lamp is designed to withstand harsh treatment both outdoors and indoors. Tested Jettingproof classification (IP 65) means that the lamp can withstand water. The unit is normally delivered UNCHARGED, thus it should be charged before usage. The battery in the TrAc Pack is a 12V lead accumulator at 6,5Ah that permits a running time of 1,1 hours +/- 15% depending on the number of time you start/restart the luminary. A fully discharged battery can be recharged 250 to 500 times depending on charging status. The light will shine with full intensity the whole time and is terminated only when the battery Charge has reached it's minimum. Charging time 5 hours. The battery-charger switches automatically to maintenance charging after the battery has been fully loaded. Attention! Reset the on/off switch to the off position (button fully out) before charging to avoid leakage of power. Never load the battery with any other charger than the Original charger (1,51,6 Amp 12V) that comes with the delivery. A more powerful charge can cause damages on the battery and in the worst case a battery explosion. The luminary can not be used when charged, it causes damages to the charger.

UNPACKING
Check that the lamp has not been damaged during transport In the event of external damage to the product, contact the company responsible for transport and your supplier without first testing whether the lamp works. Control that the battery charger you have received has the right specified rated voltage i.e.230V or 115V, depending on which mains voltage your intend to charge from. The lamp shall light immediately after it has been switched on and a few seconds later (3 to 15 seconds depending on the temperature) emit a steady beam.

TREATMENT
Although the lamp is very sturdy, in view of the extensive electronic equipment it contains it should nevertheless be treated with a certain amount of care. Exterior surfaces should be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent, and the UV filter with a cleaning cloth and glass washing agent. The lamp can be switched on and off at practically any interval. Note, however, that the fitting, if it

has been turned of for less than 5 seconds, is impossible to restart without waiting for 5 seconds in the off position before turning it on agair"
When you switch off the lamp, check that it really is switched off (although UV light is invisible to the eye, it does contain a certain proportion of visible light) to avoid expending the life span of the light source unnecessarily or risking problems as a result of heat accumulation. Although the lamp bums with a very low heat generation, it should nevertheless be noted that, depending on where the lamp is placed, the central point in the UV filter may reach a temperature of128 C.
0

Therefore, the front of the lamp is fitted with two heat distancing collars, which should

never be permanently removed.

The fuse is now visible on the back edge of the electronics card. Exchange it with a new 250V/10 amp, slow 20mm glass fuse by first removing them with the aid of a knife and inserting new fuses by pressing them in place with the fingers. Re-attach the side panel with either the old or a new gasket (make sure that the gasket is correctly aligned, see Point 3 above) and fasten the four screws in diagonal order, a little at a time, until the side panel is property reinstalled. The lamp is now ready for re-use.

FAULT DETECTION

\~n~

If the lamp does not light or goes out: 1. Check the charge status on the battery that should be 10-12V, by connecting the charger, whose indicator lamp with red light shows that a recharge is necessary, a yellow green light means that the charge status on the battery is OK. Check that the switch is on. . If the lamp has attempted to enlighten for more than 3 seconds, the time-out function will have tripped the lighting sequence. Switch off the current to the lamp for 30 seconds and then switch it back on again. If the lamp fails to go through the lighting sequence (can be seen by the absence of a spark in the glass housing of the lamp), check the bulb (lightsource), and interior fuses as per instructions above under the heading LIGHT SOURCE REPLACEMENT and FUSE REPLACEMENT. NOTE that the bulb does not have to be replaced until the light intensity from the lamp begins to fade or, after excessively long use: ceases to exist because the glass lamp housing has blackened or has pulverised. Replace the bulb when it pays to replace it, see aboveinstructions under the heading LIGHT SOURCE REPLACEMENT. If the lamp still fails to function satisfactorily, contact the supplier.

WARNING!
1. 2. If used correctly, this lamp is completely harmless. SEMKO calculated T max. = 3.6 hours exposure to the eyes per day at a measured distance of 20 cm. In conjunction with visual material testing using this lamp, we nevertheless recommend the use of suitable UV safety goggles because at the same time they also create a better fluorescence contrast effect in the visual image. Do not use the lamp without a UV filter.

Lablno" are the developers and manufacturers of a new ultra violet lighting technology that makes new applications possible and current applications easier. For the first time ever it is possible to combine a great distribution of ultra violet light with an extremely low energy consumption. Meaning that we can now offer ultra violet light sources with a far greater ultra violet intensity than current technology but with virtually no heat generation.
The technique on which we base our ultra violet products is a new type of gas discharge lamps, the Labino" DUV-3 5W. These lamps are optimized to emit as much UV-A light in the 365 nm region as possible. What makes them exceptional is the fact that they produce a great deal of ultra violet light at an output power of only 35 Watts. The resulting advantages in terms of low heat generation, energy consumption and economy are not the only reasons why our lamps are unique. We also have the fact that excitation of fluorescence with extreme reflection within the visible light spectrum takes place even with the Labino" uv Spotlight positioned hundreds of meters from the object. The device necessary to start these lamps is known as a Trigger-Ballast and is developed by us at Labino. This ballast in combination with the Labino" DUV-35W lamps will give you an ultra violet light source truly unsurpassable by current technology.
