Wireless Application

The wireless application that is provided to customers is a subset of the functionality found in test 26014. It can be used to test multiple interfaces, protocols and configurations common to the back-haul/wireless infrastructure market segments. 2 Code Workspace

The test procedures described in this document were performed based on the workspace (WDDI, DPS, tools, etc.) with following attributes:

Date: see latest Revision Date for this document AccuRev Workspace Name: WDDS_MAIN_DEV

WP2 Board Configuration TDM Card resides on WP2 TDI 1-8 slot ALL 8 TDM Ports require an external loop-back cable Uses GigE Port #2

The WP2 tests described in this document require following board configuration:

Adtech/Traffic generator/analyzer:

GigE Port 2

Adtech

WDS2

TDM

WP3 Board Configuration TDM Card resides on WP3 Serial 1 slot ALL 8 TDM Ports require an external loop-back cable Uses GigE Port #13

The WP3 tests described in this document require following board configuration:

Adtech/Traffic generator/analyzer:

GigE Port 13

Adtech

WDS3

TDM

Building WDDI

Because the application is capable of supporting UFEx interface cards it requires the corresponding archive/libraries to be available at compile time. Example, for WP2:

make WPI_TARGET=mips_winmon WPI_BOARD=wds WPI_HW_DEVICE=winpath2 WUFE=ufe3 PMC=tmx336 make WPI_TARGET=mips_winmon WPI_BOARD=wds WPI_HW_DEVICE=winpath3 WUFE=ufe3 PMC=tmx336

Example, for WP3:

*The same DPS image supports both IMA and MLPPP. See test description(s) that follow for details on how to perform the test(s).

Tests Requiring External Equipment

The following tests require an external traffic generator to analyze traffic loss, cell transfer delay, out-of-order reception, etc: 7.1 Test 26014 WP2:IMA 8 Links

Description: Defines an Inter-Working system to route traffic from GigE to an IMA group with 8 links.

1. Pass criteria: At the generator/analyzer inject 1 flow, using IPT file wa_ima_tdm.ipt. Each link can carry
1811 PPS, each packet is equivalent to two (2) ATM cells (3622 CPS). Configure generator for a CBR distribution of 14K PPS. Analyzer should receive the same rate, without any loss.

Building the test: ./build_tests.pl -workspace xxxx -ufe ufe3 -no-quick - t 26014 testlist Executing the test (upon loading):

M odify Bus: [0]-No/Done 4-29:: <- Hit Enter Enter run command | run ? | return :: run tdi_ge

7.2

Test 26014b WP2:MP 8 Links

Description: Defines an Inter-Working system to route traffic from GigE to an MP bundle with 8 Links. Note that EIR shaping is taking place, so throughput is limited so shaped rate. Pass criteria: At the generator/analyzer inject 1 flow, using IPT file wa_mp_tdm.ipt. Configure generator for a CBR distribution of 10K PPS. Analyzer should receive the same rate, without any loss. Building the test: ./build_tests.pl -workspace xxxx -ufe ufe3 -no-quick - t 26014b testlist Executing the test (upon loading):

M odify Bus: [0]-No/Done 4-29:: <- Hit Enter Enter run command | run ? | return :: run tdi_mp

7.3

Test 26014a WP3:IMA 8 Links

Description: Defines an Inter-Working system to route traffic from GigE to an IMA group with 8 links.

1. Pass criteria: At the generator/analyzer inject 1 flow, using IPT file wa_ima_tdm.ipt. Each link can carry
1811 PPS, each packet is equivalent to two (2) ATM cells (3622 CPS). Configure generator for a CBR distribution of 14K PPS. Analyzer should receive the same rate, without any loss.
