Transformers

Distribution transformers CG Power Systems offers a wide range of standard liquid-filled distribution transformers for the distribution of electricity to customers. The standard product range also includes SLIM transformers that are smaller, lighter, capable of handling severe overloads and safer because of the application of Class K dielectric fluids. In addition, CG offers Bio-SLIM transformers with a fully biodegradable transformer fluid, as a result of which it can be used in environmentally sensitive locations, such as offshore wind applications. Special distribution transformers In addition to the standard range, CG Power Systems manufactures special transformers for industrial applications. These non-standard types are the result of extensive product development based on constant monitoring and evaluation of changing customer requirements. In some cases, special customer requirements have led to the development of a new, customized product. Special distribution transformers have specific mechanical and/or electrical characteristics. Usually, these special transformer types are designed in such a way that they can be manufactured using standard production methods, requiring few modifications in the production process. Power transformers CG Power Systems has extensive expertise in the design and manufacturing of high voltage power transformers top of the range for the transmission of electrical energy. Each power transformer is individually designed to be completely in accordance with the customers needs, meeting the most stringent requirement and applications. Switchgear

CG Power Systems markets and supports a wide range of HV and EHV switchgear, up to 420 kV, to meet the requirements of electrical substations for the effective measurement, control and management of power in utility, industrial, urban and rural installations. The product range includes: > Three-phase enclosed GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) up to 300 kV > Single-phase enclosed GIS > AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) up to 245 kV > Surge arresters > Instrument transformers > SF6 Gas Circuit Breakers up to 245 kV > Disconnectors All CG switchgear is manufactured at the CG stateof-the-art manufacturing plants in India, and all GIS switchgear at the CG Electric Systems manufacturing plants in Hungary. Acceptance tests, maintenance and service are carried out in the European plants.

Systems Division

The CG Systems Division has developed into an important division within the CG group. The Systems Division specializes in electrical turnkey projects and has an impressive list of references covering over 50 countries, ranging from Australia to Zimbabwe. AIS and GIS substations The Systems Division is a specialist in turnkey substation projects up to 500 kV. These projects are carried out for large industrial customers as well as for electricity utilities. Mobile substations and mobile (hybrid) transformers Mobile substations are fully equipped electrical substations mounted on semi-trailers. Fast integration into the network and the ability to reuse them at other locations are the main advantages of these mobile units. In addition to that, the erection and commissioning time of the substation and the civil construction works are reduced to a minimum. That is because the mobile substation is completely pre-assembled and tested at the plant. Our scope ranges from mobile transformers to complete mobile substations with a maximum voltage rating of 220 kV and a maximum output of 80 MVA. Compact substation designs When space is at a premium, the Systems Division provides compact substation solutions such as modular substations. The concept developed by the Systems Division consists of three separate modules: high voltage equipment, power transformer and medium voltage equipment. Each module is mounted on skids. The modules are designed in such a way that transportation is easy and installation times short. They are pre-assembled at the Systems Divisions facilities. Before leaving the factory, the substation is exhaustively tested.

Automation & services

Automation The Automation Systems Division is a specialist supplier of advanced products and services to the global substation automation market. Our products ensure the secure and reliable automation and control of electricity transmission and distribution assets from 6.6 kV to 400 kV tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers worldwide. The Automation Systems Divisions head office and development centre is based in Dublin and the needs of our global customers are met through whollyowned project delivery offices in the UK and the USA and a network of approved partners around the world. The Automation Systems Division is a specialist supplier of: > Remote terminal units (RTU) > Substation Control Systems (SCS) > Distribution Automation (DA) equipment and systems > IEC 61850 compliant solutions Services CG offers a full range of after-sales services. These are provided by the CG Services Division, a specialist division within the group that has its headquarters in Charleroi (Belgium) and a subdivision in Hungary. The Services Division installs, maintains, refurbishes and repairs transformers, tap-changers, AIS, GIS and substations worldwide. As a total solutions provider, the Services Division also delivers life extension programs supported by condition based monitoring systems as well as numerous accessories and spare parts for transformers and on-load tap changers. The division operates through group service organizations in Mechelen (Belgium), France, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Curaao, forming a global network.
