Constance kills cheesethief, matthias meets squire julian, which he takes matthias to captain snow who tells matthias where asmodeus is and they make a bet to see if he will live or die or whatever. Cluny is happy cheesethief is dead, tunnel was going well, scumnose and others caught dormice union members like log a log and guosim go with matthias to look for the snake. Snake is also called asmodeus by the way. Cluny's army now has a siege tower, which was destroyed by fire, guosim died, matthias obtained martins sword and beheaded asmodeus, tunneling fails, but by using the dormouses he gains entrance to the abbey martin returns to the abbey along with the guerilla union and plenty of sparrows. Cluny is killed by matthias, when he cuts the bell off is rope it flattens cluny Abbot mortimer dies, he makes matthias an official warrior of redwall. Redwall wins.
