Wedding Ceremony

String Band: Plays during the Brides arrival (Option: Choir) Welcome Minister to Guests: Welcome, family, friends, and loved ones, you have traveled from afar, and others, further still, to be with us today on this beautiful island of Malolo LaiLai. Together , the Bride and Groom would like to thank you for your presence. Today, Bride and Groom ask for your blessing, encouragement, and life long support, in their decision to be married. You have come here to share in this commitment they make to one another, and to allow them to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them. Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other. Through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, letting go of the rest. What this ceremony can do is to witness and affirm the choice you make to stand together as soul mates. Failures will be accepted and forgiven each day because of the healing spirit of love that is to transpire. Their faith in each other will overcome every obstacle, and their importance for each other will grow as their trust deepens. In marriage, husband and wife belong together, they are one. Firstly, the Art of Marriage, a contemporary work by Wilferd Arlan Peterson, followed by words written about love almost 2000 years ago by the Apostle Paul. The Art of Marriage A good marriage must be created In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things

It is never too old to hold hands It is remembering to say "I love You" at least once a day It is never going to sleep angry It is having mutual sense of values and common objectives It is standing together facing the world It is speaking words of appreciation in thoughtful ways It is having the capacity to forgive and forget It is giving each other an atmosphere in which to grow It is finding the room for the things of the spirit It is the common search for the good and the beautiful It is not only marrying the right partner It is being the right partner True love is slow to lose patience. It looks for ways of being constructive, it is not possessive. It is neither anxious to impress, Nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance. Love has good manners and does not keep account of evil. It is always eager to believe the best, always hopeful, always patient. It is a love that knows no limits to its endurance, no fading to its hope. It is in fact the one thing that stands when everything else has fallen. Minister to Bride and Groom: Before you are joined in marriage, in the presence of these witnesses, I will remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the commitment you are about to give. Marriage exists so that a man and a woman may be united and may give each other lifelong companionship, to help and comfort each other, both in prosperity and adversity. Such a marriage helps us to provide firm foundations for human society and must not be entered into lightly. It is to be undertaken seriously and with the utmost respect for each other. Love Is The Reason Love is the reason why this day was chosen by you both to begin your lives together and love is the reason why you both will give with all hearts for the good of each other. Love is the reason that together you will become one; one in hope; one in believing in life; one in sharing the coming years.
