Summary of Beowulf King Hrothgar held a party to celebrate the victorious battle against monster called grendel at the Hall of Heorot. The party held all night long. Grendel felt angry because he hates the sound of the party that hurted his ears. So he suddenly rampaging into the party and slay every head of the warriors. When Grendel came after the Queen and wanted to kill her,the king drew his sword and pointing at Grendel. Grendel ran outside the messed Heorot. Next day the Heorot was closed and no one are allowed to sing. Meanwhile,Beowulf heard about Hrothgars monster problem decided to went to the Danes. He tried to help the Kings problem. Hrothgar who knows Beowulfs father was happy because there is someone who would kill the monster. Beowulf declared his will to kill the monster and make the people safe. The Heorot,which closed before were open again to welcome Beowulf and his comrades. Beowulf had a purpose to lure Grendel out and kill him at the Heorot. Beowulf got naked because he knew that Grendel would come barehanded and no weapon can scratched him. He will fought Grendel bare-handed. When Grendel came he started to crush everything. Beowulf woke up and keep striking Grendel and pinched the Grendels hand with the Heorots gate until it torn apart from its body. Grendel ran into its home and died in front of his mother. His mother seeks revenge to Beowulf who had killed his only son and crush Beowulfs warrior and left him and his Lieutenant,Wiglaf alive. Beowulf also seeks revenge and came to Grendels mother Lair brought the golden drinking horn to her and declared that he will kill her.but he was seduced by the beauty of grendels mother and fell by her temptation.then Beowulf back to the Heorot brought the Grendels head and claimed that he also kill his mother. After a short talk with King Hrothgar, the King declared that he is too old to become King and had no child as his succesor so he bestowed the throne to Beowulf and he commited suicide by jumped down into the cliff. Few years later,Unferth came to the party and show King Beowulf the lost golden drinking horn. After that,the whole village burned down by the Dragon who seeks revenge to its father,Beowulf.then Beowulf came to the lair and attacked by the dragon who rushed into his kingdom.he killed the dragon by pulling out its heart.Beowulf died because of he fell down to the sea with the dragon.

Comments and Difference between the Story and the Movie : I think this movie is very interesting,nice 3D picture,and full of history. But theres a few of differences between the real story and the film. the real story told that Grendel attacked the Heorot when the Soldier was asleep.but the film shows that Grendel slay the whole soldier when the party held.and also when Beowulf came into Grendels cave and tried to kill Grendels mother with the sword he found inside the cave.the film didnt show that. The story also told that Grendels mother was killed,and again the film are against the story,Grendels mother was still alive. The story told that after Beowulf came back from the cave and brought Grendels head he headed back into his home.but in the film he became the king of the Danes replacing Hrothgar who commited suicide.And one more,the film shows that the Dragon was Beowulfs Son.but the real stories didnt mention any of it. It show more contradiction between the film and the real story of Beowulf.
