Dr. Ruscio and Dr. Jordan both graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic with an emphasis in functional medicine and clinical nutrition. Dr. Jordan also holds a bachelor degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Ruscio holds a bachelor degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Thank you for expressing interest in our Laser Body Contouring program. We know when considering any procedure there is much to think about. We support your deliberation as any choice regarding ones health should be taken with great care. With this in mind we would like to offer some information that many patients have found helpful.
What type of results can I expect? The results you experience depend on many factors, including genetics, age, medical conditions, medications, eating habits, your fitness regime, frequency of treatments, and more. During your 30minute complimentary consultation, one of our doctors will review your medical history and explain what you can do to achieve the best results. Is this FDA-Cleared? The Chromogenex ilipo is FDA cleared. It has been used for years as a follow-up treatment to liposuction. Thanks to advances in technology, the ilipo laser can now be used on its own without invasive, expensive and potentially dangerous cosmetic surgery. Do you offer payment plans? Yes. We offer a variety of payment plans and do our best to make the laser body contouring program affordable to every qualified patient. We would be happy to provide more information and an application when you come in for your consultation.
Why dont I just do the diet and exercise plan to lose weight? There is no doubt that diet and exercise are key to weight loss. This is why they are included in our plan. That being said, the laser has the ability to target certain areas that may poorly respond to diet and exercise. If someone were to do just the laser, they would lose inches, but when you add the rest of our program you enhance whatever gains you would have received from the laser alone. Here is an example; Erica does just the laser and loses 7 total inches around her abdomen. Adding the diet she loses 10 total inches around her abdomen. Adding the exercise and supplements plan she loses 11 total inches. The diet, exercise and supplement plans are optional. It all depends on how much you want to lose. Also remember, with the laser we can target specific areas that dont respond well to diet and exercise. What sets this program apart from other laser treatments or liposuction? Both Laser Body Contouring and liposuction are vastly more effective when someone has a healthy metabolism. Our program is centered around not only providing personalized body contouring, but also providing the resources needed to optimize your metabolism. Patients often remark that they need something to give them a boost to get motivated to eat healthy and exercise. Laser Body Contouring provides a great boost, but then some people dont have a support structure that allows them to take once they have become motivated. Here we offer our Detox 360 cleanse program which is a great way to roll motivation into action. Our Functional Medicine care is available for those with more severe metabolic imbalances (like hormone imbalances or digestive problems). In addition to this we have an onsite exercise facility. Effectiveness of the Laser. There are a few different kinds of lasers on the market. After reviewing much data and speaking with a number of clinics across the country, we have chosen the Chromogenex ilipo. Clinicians who are using our laser side by side with its competitor, the Zerona laser, have reported that our laser gets better results.

Do not eat for 90 minutes after your treatment. Again this is because we want your body to use the fat released for energy instead using energy from a meal.
Drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water per day. For example a 200 pound person should drink at least 100 ounces of water, or about 10-12 glasses. Some of the fat that is released will not be burned as fuel, but excreted by your digestive system instead. Water helps flush the fat out. Whatever fat loss you will experience with the laser can be amplified if you eat correctly, optimize your nutrient intake and exercise. Dr. Ruscio and Giang are an experts in using exercise, diet and nutrition to affect metabolism. They have designed a synergistic program where diet, exercise and nutrition will all work together to enhance your laser treatment results. Exercise immediately after your treatment if possible. As an optional part of your program Dr. Ruscio has designed an exercise program for you, it can be done in 20 minutes. If you cant exercise right after, make sure you are exercising at least 3 times per week. A nutritional supplement and dietary program is also included as an optional part of your program. Please follow these for the best results. We need to be able to access whatever area you want to have treated. Please remember to wear clothing that will allow this, a bathing suit usually works well. We also take before and after photos so that you can see the results. Please remember to wear something that will allow this. Photos are not required, but recommended so that you can see the results.

Eat breakfast! You can visit, http://www.atkins.com/Program/low-carb-online-tools.aspx, for a 2 week sample meal plan and for a downloadable carb counting guide. We do not endorse the Atkins diet fully, however this link has good sample menus to help you with carb control. Do not eat any wheat, rye or barley. So no whole grains, breads, bagels, cereals, pasta, cookies, waffles or flour of any kind. These foods are both inflammatory and high in carbs and will be a double strike against fat metabolism. Please avoid dairy and soy. Use the food matrix below to help make different meal options. Combine one protein, one vegetables and add fat and spices to taste. This diet will also help lower blood pressure, cholesterol, increase energy, increase sex drive and help you sleep better at night! We recommend you fill out the accompanying diet log so that we can monitor your progress. Remember, do your best. You dont have to be perfect! If you can do this 80% of the time youre doing great!
