B[109 had first taken part in actual fighting in Spanish Civil War and 131 planes of the type B, C, D and E in total was sent to "Condor Legil)n~And31 planes of the type E-1 andE-3 among them, the serial group 6.91- 6.131, had been sent from January to May, the month the rebellion was over, in 1939. As Hitler had thl)ught af alienation of the Es to the new Spanish Air Force in order to keep General Franco's side, the winner of this war on intimate terms with Germany, however the type E was so new at that time that ever the jagbgeschwader in their native country couldn't have many of them. These 31 of E-1 and E~, decreased to 20 because of accidents after all, had become the main fighter planes of Span ish

Air Force Fighter units. And they had been the number Q1U! planes not only during the World War [J but also until 1M beginning of 19SOs. One E-3, W. Nr790 (the serial group 6.106 in Condor Legion) had gotten rid of being scrapped and had restored to Germany in 1960. And the plane has b€en preserved and exhibited. at "Deutshes Museum" in Miinchen up to this day. Even though the plane had been in active service much longer, beyond comparison (approx. 10 years) than Luftwaffe, the head house. Unexpectedly the interior of its cockpit still keep 1M origina; shape and the Rem C/I2D gumight which had bent lost was suppliced to make the plane more like the origi1ll11. The plane is exhibited with a means of exposure of its inside by cutting some part of external panel away.

This aircraft is probably the most well klU)Wnamong the BIl09Es MW exist. This was one of many BIl 09& shot down or made forced landings on England in the Battle of Britain. She had invaded in British tentoria: air, by Wolfgung Toymer, Second lieutenant, attached to 2.1jGSl on November the 27th in 1940, and after being hit in its radiator by a Spitfire piloted by a Canadian pilol. she had made a force landing on the Manston Base and was captured. This aircraft was proved from its name plote to be manufacture number 4101 of B[109E~/B mamifactured by Erla Werk. in Leipzig that took charge of its product under license. This airplane was, as its name of the type showed, the fighter bomber version with ETC500 rack under the {uselage but the carried SC2S0. a 250kg's bomb was already dropped before the forced landing, and ETC500 was also lost because of

the landing with its main landing gear up. But since the damage was comparatively slight, RAP had repaired the body miring up the parts of the other shot.Joum airplanes, and had tested the body with a registration number DG200. As a result. the vertical stabilizer and the vertical rudder were from WNr6313F, the upper cowling 'was from W.Nr 1653, the main port wing was from other E~ man.ll/actured by Fieseler Werk, the canopy was from other E-4. and surprisingly the engine itself was also exchanged in to the tnU of BfllOC-S/WNr2177 in 1942. And her contents had been made widely different from the original E-3IB after all. However as the parts themselves are still keeping their original shapes, they seroe as a refe:rena. But the movable part of the canopy had been lost and Ihe "Erla-Haube" for GIK had b€en with the airplane/or a while after the war. Now it was changed in to theone for 1M typ.e G but still .spoils its exterior. The coloring was also corected to the origina! color when 1M fuselage was restored in 1976but the color gray applied em the upper fuselage was not RLM 74175 but it seemed to haP!!been fabricated gray.
