Objectives:
1. Pupils have learnt about singular and plural form during their Year 3.
Teaching Strategy T writes the word of the day on the board (charming) and probes Ps response on the word introduced. T gives examples of the sentences using the word charming.
Yen Wen is a charming girl. Yen Wen is an attractive girl. Read the sentences together.
T asks Ps to copy the word and the sentences in their Step 1 (3 minutes) vocabulary book. T revises the use of Singular and Plural form learnt in Year 3. T informs Ps that for the words ending with ch, sh and ss, we add es; words ending with y, we drop y and add es and words ending with f, we drop f and add ves.
