Subgroup cables: Zipcord fiber optic cable is a duplex type fiber optic cable. Its structure is just like two simplex cables jointed together side by side, you can split the zipcord fiber cable apart by hands and it will become two simplex fiber optic cables. Below is a picture of the zipcord fiber optic cables structure:

Zip cord fiber cable is usually used in indoor applications, especially on fiber optic patch cables. These zip cord fiber optic cables can be single mode or multimode and with various kinds of connectors. Usually on the zipcord cable, each side is two connectors, and the two connectors may be joined together by a clip, especially on LC and SC types. This clip is removable simply by hands.

ribbon cables: Fiber Optic Ribbon Cable Assemblies are the world's most durable fiber-optic ribbon interconnects. They can be pulled through a one-inch conduit with a tensile force of 200 lbs. Gore cables also feature high signal density, flexibility, flex life, and impact resistance, and they meet telecommunications industry transmission requirements. Aerial cables:

Abstract
While conventional cable elements can tolerate strains on the order of 1%, optical fibers cannot. As aerial cables may suffer contraction and elongation from low temperatures and high ice or wind loads, or high temperatures, respectively, proper designs have to provide the cables with length margins within which the fibers are protected against mechanical loads, except for a very limited bending stress. The well-suited loose tube buffer design, the way of calculation, and a list of reference cable plants are presented.
